SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAIL Had an great 3 days of fishing to start the year. 4/7 got on the water late, headed south of launch, picked up a double right away, brown and a steelie. Multiple doubles and a couple triples throughout the day. Sticks were hot all afternoon. Great action, ended up 26/32, all browns and 2 steelhead. 4/8 was another great bite, headed south again, but wound up getting the best action by grindstone. Had a large fish snap the line thurs, well south of the launch. Fri. landed a good brown in front of selkirk, and sure enough a spoon in one corner of his mouth, my little ripper in the other! Ended the day 23-26, 1 steelie, 1 atlantic, the rest browns. Mostly on spoons. 4/9 was a tough morning bite, found fish south of launch around 11am when the water surface got some texture. Fishing was slower still managed 11-13, browns and 1 small atlantic, spoon bite again. Overall great time on the water, couldnt ask for a better start to the season.
