best navionics map chip

just got my new gen 2 hds and wondering what the best chip would be. plat plus greatlakes or the hot map plat chip? boat only fishes ontario and oneida

I just picked up Hotmaps Platnium East yesterday, the charts for Erie are awesome, they let me check it out at BPS before buying it, if you can wait a little bit next time I'm at my boat (it's in storage) I can take some pictures of what Oneida looks like. I didn't look at Ontario but I'm sure it looks just like Erie. Great chip and your covered anywhere you go as it's the whole East region.

Yep, I'll be plugging it in soon and I'll take a couple screen shots. From what I saw on Erie you only get 1ft contours around reef, shoals and structure not on open water, that would be annoying if you did. I'll take a look at Onieda for you and report back really soon.

But on Oneida, the eyes are no where near structure, on many occasions, but certainly put more in the box with the Navionics.
