Olcott Report Tuesday August 28

Recommended Posts

Spent 4 1/2 hours fishin with Capt Linda Lou & Skip. 7 miles NE of Olcott in 500 ft. of water(9:30 AM Start) Rainbow fishing was as good as "The good old days". 30 to 70 down with a 15 ft. lead and sliders. Bows ranged from 4.5 to 12.5 lbs. Constant action for 4.5 hours on the "bows". Picked up three nice Chinook from 13.5 to 19 lbs. 70 ft. down with a 30 ft. lead.

NK28's Super Glo Wonder Bread, Super Glo Fire Tigers, and various green and gold tinted NK 28's worked all the time. Never did get the Magnums in the water. Wire dipsey out 150, 160, 180 & 200 went off several times. 10 color lead core went off twice also. Basically everthing we put out worked!. GPS speed was 2.8 knots, quick trolling!

Stomachs of the large fish contained large alewifes! 6 to 7 inches long.

(one to four found in each stomach) Our limit is filleted and who said there is a shortage of Rainbows! Most everyone out today caught a few rainbows in 100 to 500 ft. of water. High Sun, flat water did not slow down the fishin! Pearl colors midday/high Sun produced the best.

Tired but happy....Jet Boat Bill 10:05 PM Tuesday
