Stiff steering

I changed my boat from a center console to a side console, doing that gave me alittle extra steering cable. When I ran my steering cable to the motor I made a loop with the cable in my gunpwhale so it would meet the motor better. My question is if making a loop with the cable would be the reason my steering seems to get tighter and tighter. It's a rack n pinion teleflex

That would do it. You should measure it up and get the correct length cable it will make a world of difference.

Thx...manual riggers are enough, battling the steering wheel is the last thing I need!

No but I saw one in Craigslist not to long ago, had steering wheel, live well and maybe controls...it would be a couple days back
