Punta cana fishing

I cant just keep my fishing to the big lake.... i am going to be headed down to punta cana in the end of april in the dominican for vacation this year and cant pass up the opportunity to wet a line down there. Cause what good is a vacation if you can't fish. As for a charter down there i havnt booked one yet and i was looking for recomendations of people that have had experience. I appreciate any info. Thanks!!

I fished Punta Cana a few times. In my opinion the Inshore fishery has been overfished. You can go after some of the pelagic species like Sailfish. Most of the charters seem like a boat ride.

Yeah i will be looking to go offshore after dorado tuna sails and what not. Ive gone out of palm beach a lot a few years ago. Ive been doing a bunch of research but that only takes you so far. Figured id see if anyone had sone personal experience good or bad. So i know what to look for or what to avoid. Ive gone out of play de carmen in mexico we caught a nice sail but no one on the boat spoke english bur us. Was a strugle for that trip
