I am heading up to Eastern Lake Erie to do some walleye fishing the middle of next week and was wondering if I should shorten my trip to Erie and hit the Niagara Bar for a couple of days also. I picked up 2 Kings last year there while trolling for eyes on crawler harnesses-but I have spoons/stickbaits/dipseys/leadcore/wire/jets etc.

There is also an inline planer board out there somewhere that was dragged under and came undone with a fish I lost where it took a run.

Thanx.

Walteye,

I am going to Erie the last week of July. How about a report on how you make out next week. Post it on LOU or go to my PM.

For the last week of July, I would fish out of The Cattaraugus Creek and waters westward for walleye. The years highest water temperatures drive the fish to deep waters, usually over 70 feet. Dipsey Divers and snap weights will get your worm harnesses and plugs deep enough. The ideal spots are on the Canadian Border if you want to go out that far.
