Charging Glow Baits

I got a small flash unit for charging glo spoons and flashers. Is just one flash exposure enough for a few spoons, or a pair of flashers? How far away from the baits should the flash be?

Try flashing 2-3 times, or until you are sure every piece of glo has been charged...

You can put the flash right up to what you are charging, 1-2 inch's away...

a trick to try sometime is to try some spoons or flashers with 1 flash and the next with 2 or 3 flashes...sometimes the salmon want the very dim glow and other times they like that bright glow it all depends on the mood of the fish so experiment!

I agree with fishman- if your batteries go out, and you dont have a flashlight, sunlight will work just fine. It will take several minutes.. Sunlight works but there is no real time indicator how bright or not bright your much glow you'll get.

I use and old 35 mm camera with the flash on it, no film just keep fresh batteries on board to charge away. It can be deadly when they want glow. Fall staging kings in the mud early morning, down deep kings middle of the day...I use my on board lights to get them "charging" while im riggin rods and gettin ready to leave the dock then before I deploy them I give em a flash up close with the camera.
