Nothing like last weekend. Left Wright's landing at 6:45 and trolled east for two hours throwing every color and size combo stick bait off the boards. Nothing! Water was gin clear with temps in the high 30s. Finally switched to spoons and bumped up the speed and hooked up on a orangr/silver cleo 150 ft. behind the rigger. Switched to all spoons and took two more off the boards with same cleos 100 ft behind the board with a snap weight 10 back. Much tougher than last weekend. If any of the captains are reading this could you give me your opinion on whether you think we were just triggering impulse strikes with the speed and erratic action of cleos or was it something else. Thanks in advance.
