  1. Hanging here at Cape Vincent cuz I don't need another bath.
  2. Those pike are like ants out there. Such a nice place. Thats a great pike.
  3. No walleyes but was marking fish off Clines Pt and did one brown near the head of PT Penisula on a shallow runner in 30 ft of water. The wallys are not treating me well this weekend at all. Trying mud bay tonight, I need some luck.
  4. fished Oswego Last night and caught 1 brown and no walleyes. There was no wind until around 1am. I think that hurt our chances. What are some favorites colors for stickbaits. I was using orange, clown and shiner rapala stickbaits last night. Do you think downsizing lure size on calm nights is a good idea?
  5. Too early...There are a few in Bayfield Bay on the Canadian side. They haven't migranted to that area yet. But you never know. I would concentrate in the Chaumont/Mud bay region for walleyes at this time of the year.
  6. It finds its way into my spread on almost every outing
  7. He won't tell because he got lost getting there and slept the way back home...he doesnt even know where he caught them..LOL...Good job Doug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. This is a steal with the overall shape of the vessel. Will negotiate due to the fact that I got a boat on the way (smaller tiller). Bought this baron last year after I observed at a pro-am thinking I was going to be a salmon fisherman period, realized I am a walleye guy after all and need to sell. Could sweeten the deal with brand new rod tree fishlander rod holders and big jon masts never used. You'll get to your spot like a 23' boat in big waves and toss any tough guy off a tube no matter how many beers. Grab a 4 stroke tiller with your savings and troll forever or until the wife calls. Test drive all you want!
  9. I dont have tattle-tails but they seem like a great idea. The biggest mistake I see with using my favorite OFF - SHORE boards is not instantly changing all the black clips to the red clips that have a nipple in the center. Put your line behind the nipple on both interchanged clips. (I know Ray is going crazy for pics of these nipples) but you will never have line slipp unless your using anything less than 12#. USE FLOUROCARBON.
  10. Thanks Ray! After interacting with so many cocky tight lipped fart sniffers this weekend it is very refreshing to go back to LOU and the generous folks like yourself!
  11. Trolled Chaumont all day Saturday and boated several pike and missed a good handful of hits. Trolled Mud Bay saturday night and hit the pike/smallies to end the day with a huge wally skunkeroo. Went to Black River Bay buoys sunday morning and got picked apart by the white perch on the harnesses and boated zero walleye by the time I got blown off the bay. Trolled the river with harnesses late morning and the white perch effectively ended my day with a HUGE wally skunk. My friends boated some nice walleye in Chaumont saturday and some folks were catching them in the Black River. I hope some east end LO folks had better days than me.
  12. Remember its illegal to even pursue them out of season...the boys in green can be nut crunchers if you catch them on a bad day
  13. amazing....looks like a huge shad that could eat a muskrat
  14. Does anyone here have any contact info for the team TRIPLE J. They frequent the pro-ams on the amteur side. Jim and John co-own their 23' sylvan rig and I observed on their boat during the 07 Osewgo tourny. Real good guys and fisherman and I would like to get ahold of them. Eugene is asking. Thanks.
  15. chaumont, mud bay, or black river bay havent made up my mind yet. All I know is that I CANT WAIT.
  16. Got out around 7:30ish and went 2 for 3 on the browns. Surface temps around 55. Did the fish in 5-8 ft of water.
  17. I didnt even have to wash my hands for lunch..huge SKUNK but I was getting buzzed by sea ducks out near Henderson and clotheslined a long tail duck with my outmost planer line. First Outing: 1 duck
  18. Went out on Sunday out of Stony Creek and got skunked. Lost one brown in about 6ft of water. Water was 35-36 degrees and around 41 at the mouth. Went down to the mouth of Sandy Creeks and there was alot of debris in the water and the water was very muddy. The mouth of Stony had some nice mud lines of various color just couldn't get into them. A bit early for this spot just had to get into a boat and troll.
  19. For the fisherman in my area (Chaumont Bay) dont forget about the areas in front of the outlets. When the ice rescedes it ought to be the best fishing/most dangerous. I am pooped from ice fishing and took last weekend off. I organized my tackle for the open water and my living room looked like someone threw some TNT into the fishing section at Gander MTN. I plan to hit the ice this weekend at Chaumont in the staging areas for spawing around those inlets. The creeks are flowing well and I think the fish are responding with some schooling up in those areas. Could be too early but I will give it a shot.
  20. Just bought the house from under you...and I own the bottom to the Canadian side...old French deed MF'er
  21. Beat up the perch this weekend on Chaumont. The trick was steering away from any crowds. Did 9 walleyes with a 10 and 9 lbers being the largest. A couple in the 8-7 lb range.
