  1. Mark, Glad to hear you are going to be with us again this spring. We will be in the same campgrounds again with TM, stop by if you have time. I will be in touch when it gets closer. Right now waiting impatiently for the GPs to show and this darn snow to melt away. Then it is off to get the kicker installed. Rich
  2. Mark, GLad to see you are still around. I have not seen you in sometime, hope everything is good. Are you coming out west again? Rich
  3. Rod, Not a problem on sharing some spots up there. LOMM is located on Military road. When you come down /up RT3 turn at the caution light and go towards the lake (west). There is Harbor's End and the next one is the LOMM. Both of these have covered slips, but I would check on the second one first. I will not have the boat up there until the middle of May, we will be out west for the first week. Saiff still has the shows, just not sure when or where they are airing them. Rich
  4. Billy, I pm'd Jim last night and told him about the FF you were interested in and told me he would meet anyones price, and he was looking forward to talking to you if you so desire to give him a call. I will do my Electronics business with him from now on. I look up the prices everywhere else and he will meet them and then send it to you for free overnight, if it is over $400.00. Good Luck. Rich
  5. Rod, I would have to agree with Tom on this. LOMM is probably better, but I believe you will be paying that much for a covered slip up there no matter which one you go with. Actually the marina at Association Island is the closeset to the trench out of all the marinas up there. I have not been to it myself, but have fished in front of it for bass and perch. I would get a covered slip if you have the $$$ to afford it. You will keep alot of garbage off the boat, and if it pours rain you will not get all that water in the boat to be pumped out. Good Luck, let us know how you do. We keep our boat at a family dock, I am up there atleast once a week and somethimes more. Boat name is SEADUCKTION, 240 Hardtop Thompson, give me a shout when you start heading that way. Rich
  6. Jan, Sounds good to me, hopefully I will have a fish or two on the board by the time you get there. YOu need to give Evan a call, he is coming out again this year also. I will be in touch. Rich
  7. Rod, What kind of slip are you looking for? There are covered and there are uncovered. There is a couple of different marinas up there that have slips. You can check out Harbor's End, there is also the old LOMM marina, not sure the exact name bubt I could get it for you. There is also the Yatch club over in town also. Rich
  8. Start the year off for browns out of Fairhaven or Oswego. The we trailer to Wilson for a few days and then it is off to Henderson for the majority of the summer. The walleyes out of Black river and then the kings and trout offshore. We also hit Fairhaven and Salmon River toward the end of August. Can't wait till splash down, come on spring. Rich
  9. Billy, I would recommend Jim@ By owner Electronics. He is great, will meet or beat any advertised price, free overnight shipping and no tax also. http://www.byownerelectronics.com/store ... p?cat=1192 Here is the link, iut also has all the ducers right there also. Give him a call. Rich
  10. Billy, Do you have a place to get one yet? Let me know and I will give you the place that Erin and I got ours from. He will ship free and you will have it the nextday. I oredered my GPS from also, he knows his stuff and will answer all of your questions. Let me know. Rich
  11. TM, I remember you guys, we will be there again. I have not seen Mark on here lately. We will be there Thursday afternoon. Look forward to seeing you guys again. Rich
  12. Billy, I would rec. the 585, if you have the $$$. I have the 620 and it is awesome. As far as the 1k or the 500 watt, I can say the 500 is great. You could go to www.thehulltruth.com and ask there. The guys have had a few posts on them. Good Luck. Let me know. Rich
  13. Glen, Well, since it has been a couple years since you have been out there I guess I can find a few for you. lol I hope have a few in the boat by the time you get there. I will be in touch before . Rich
  14. Dan, This is the boat from Wilson, and you are right it is an awesome boat. I wish I had the $$ for this boat, it is on my short list when it comes time to upgrade. It is one clean ride. Good Luck Pete with the sale and the new boat. Rich
  15. Glen, When are you coming out? Are you staying in your camper or a cabin? Let me know we will be there from Thursday the Tuesday. Sounds great, I have Roger(Tinman) coming from Lake Michigan to fish with us with his son. Can't wait. Rich
  16. Glen, I forgot you were not out west last year. They had a weigh station right where you are slipping the boat, I am glad to hear you got a slip, I will be slipped in Wilson, but we will be Youngstown for dinner, hope we can get together. We had dinner with Jan last year, I am sure we will hook up again this year. Can't wait till May. Where are you going to staying? Rich
  17. Glen, Did you check with the weigh station from last year in Youngstown? I know there was a couple areas that had slips last year. I will do some checking for you if I have the time. Rich
  18. I always tie direct to the spool also, but I also use a small piece of electrical tape on the spool. This prevents the wire from slipping on the spoll. Rich
  19. PM, As far as the bar is concerned, you actually have a better chance of fishing in the lake, than you do at Sodus. The prevailing winds are from the West so the wave height is much smaller out in the Niagara area. You also have the River which you could fish if it does get rough in the lake. The Bar is actually fished by a lot of small boats like your due the fact that it is so close to shore. Just something to think about. Good Luck on your trip. Rich
  20. Clarke, I have seen the fish do the same thing, but I have also had the fish just as active also. You really have to watch the down speed in most cases, ahich I am sure you know. Rich
  21. I always run with the trail on. I can't wait to see what the new Garmin will look like. Rich
  22. I just dropped 9 hunge on a new Garmin GPS and also put the deposit on a T8 kicker with remote throttle and bracket. Looking into aome new sharks and possibly some new SG47's. I have a fever and it is getting really bad. I hope spring gets here soon. Rich
  23. Nice job Adam, keep those pics coming. until this ice is gone, that is the type of things we need to get us through till spring. Rich
  24. Stixs, I am going with the T8 also. I was told by Mike from Mike's marina that it has more than enough juice to power the electronics and still charge the baterries. There is a 30' charter boat that runs out of his marina that runs the T8 and has actually used the kicker to charge his batteries to start his main motors after the boat sat for a awhile. I can't wait to get the boat in the water with the kicker. Super quiet, and a gas and a$$ saver to boot. I went with the T8 due the power tilt and trim. Good Luck. Rich
  25. Chris, It is run pretty much the same way we are going to be running the LSRC. Werner gave me the rules for their challenge and that is guidelines I followed. The only differance is way the points are accumulated. In Fairhaven we run it like the ProAm with points for fish and then 1 point per pound. They also have the big fish pot added on. I will be fishing that one also. Rich
