  1. You'll have to get out when your home. Maybe we can get goudy too. Think he's home for a couple days.
  2. I had 34 F in the clear water out of Ontario. Colored was warmer(37-41)
  3. Nate, are you in England? When do you get home? Its hard to remember everything ont the first trip of the year when everything is spread over three boats. I got it all now.
  4. I for got to mention: We were trolling along when one of the inlines startes screamin back. Grab the rod and the board flies out of the water, up into the air about fourty feet. Look up and a seagul has the thunderstick in his mouth. We got it back after about a 10 min fight and a stellar net job. His beak was a little sore though.
  5. Woke up this morning and decided I had to go fishing. Went to Bear Creek and shoveled the ramp with a buddie. Half hour later we had our little tunnel down the ramp wide enough for the truck. Went home got the boat, hit the gas station, made it to the launch. Got out of the truck and no tackle on board. Back in the truck, and back home. I just knew fishing line was not going to be the ticket today. Anyways got on the water around 2pm. Fished four rods, 2 inlines and 2 off the back. Ran yollow and silver hunny bee, three thundersticks, two metalic hot green and one prizmshad. Everything took hits. Ended up 7-9. 5 Browns and 2 steelies. Both steelies were freshly spwned out with the biggest at 11lbs. Browns were 4-6 lb footballs. Off the water at four. I cant wait to get back out. Sorry no camera as it was in the truck with my phone and cigs. Hope im a little more organized next time, just had the itch. Jeff
  6. What a difference a day makes. Is the parking lot clear?
  7. You could always install gimbal mount rod holders on the back and then get the gimbal mount downrigger bracket. Have to drill a couple holes in the boat but will look very clean when not using the riggers. Might be able to install them below your rail and not have it get in the way.
  8. Carry's might be a better option. The ramp is shorter and the parking lot is plowed. Parking lot by the coast gaurd station isn't plowed yet. Maybe we can get Salmonbound1 or pennfish to shovel them off for us since they live so close .
  9. The ramp at the coast gaurd station in Sodus is very snowed in. Bring a shovel if you want to launch there. Snows about a foot deep and heavy down to the water. Lot of open water in the bay. Might be good for perch or hit the lake. If anyone goes let me know so that i can launch after you
  10. It wasnt very wide last September, maybe 15-20' wide at the turn on the west side. East of that it was only about 2'. May go out next week, Ill let you know. Can't imagine its any better.
  11. You can post your request here, or email the tournament you'd like to fish(ie niagra, wayne etc) on their web site. They usually have an observer list or can help you find one.
  12. Thanks Paul, rules look good. See you in a couple months.
  13. The big boat is $68 Per Year and around $20 for the 16'er. Maine is a 5 yr for the same of less. Register 4 trailers per year, just seems like a lot of money(usually anround $230)
  14. I dont think there are any qualifications for that. I can get the # of the company that does it if you ant more info. Was thinking of doing it on my little boat that I use during the winter and possibly the lake boat.
  15. Anybody ever register their trailers in Maine? 5 yr registration and a heck of a lot cheaper. Know of a couple of guys that do and have never had a problem with the law. They go through a company in conn. that does this for a buisness and is perfectly legal.
  16. Funny......Nothing gets in the way of my fishing. She doesnt give me any sh!t when it comes to the fishing or hunting. I told her from day one what would happen if she did, plus I take her for rides in the boat
  17. Jim, Try Yankee's epoxy method, I don't want to have to drag your boat to shore. Of course if the fishing is good Ill tell you to call me only if it gets real bad . It would be a form of payback.
  18. Usually the first or second week of April depending on the weather and 10 day forcast. Cant wait for April. May need to take up panfishing with the price of gas as that can be done off the dock. At least Ill be on the boat.
  19. We had one come down about a half mile from us last year pre fishing the Sodus Pro-am in front of Fair Haven. Had to go into Fair Haven for the thunderstorms and when we came back out there it was. Its an awsome sight to see.
  20. Glenn, Last year we stayed at 4c's. Has showers, food in the morning, and gas. Nice little place. Jeff Cold Water Affair
  21. ALBANY, N.Y. - To thin a growing population of Canada geese now estimated at 200,000, New York officials have set a new late-winter hunting season from March 1-10. The season opens Saturday in most of Niagara, Erie, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Wyoming, Allegany, Livingston, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Tioga, Cortland, Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Schoharie, Albany, Greene, Sullivan, Ulster, Orange, Rockland, Putnam and Westchester counties and parts of Otsego and Dutchess counties. There's a five-bird daily limit. Environmental officials say other options for cutting the number of birds include puncturing eggs or coating them with corn oil to prevent hatching, but only after getting authorization from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the state.
  22. To think, you could of shoveled snow instead. Looks like a great time.
