  1. holy sh**! congrats on a nice buck
  2. hey times two, they never gave me a "booklet" to reference. the only thing they gave my group was the regulation guides for hunting and fishing.
  3. i took the test this summer for hunting and fishing. i actually took 4 tests. 1 for hunting, 1 for fishing, 1 for general guiding, and 1 for boat and canoe use. the tests are mainly regulations and emergency situation questions. they only provide you with the regulations guides (hunting and fishing). they provide you with absolutely nothing really to study. it was suggested to study the bsa fieldbook. i would suggest also reading the regulations guide and general small boat safety info example questions- what is the min length for bass in lake champlain? what is the maximum number of hook points allowed? the tests are all multiple choice w/ four possible answers. hope this helps
  4. thats great!!
  5. Mark, id have to agree with you 100% and im sure the poll will say most of the board members do too.

  12. fished from yanty to the creek 50-75 fow. great temps inside and great screen early. 8 for 10 (5 kings 20-25#, 1 king 10#, 1 small brown , and 1 steelie). small stinger nbks on the deeper riggers and an unnamed nk28 spoon up top. absolutely no flasher/fly action at all and everthing on 28 size spoons
  13. 20# fleaflicker mainline on the riggers (all year round)
  14. i see the new boat is treating you well. good to see that your getting some action out there and putting some fish in the boat too side note- 2 weekends ago i had 3 break offs on the wire rods ( all 3 between the dipsey and spin doctor) i feel your pain, expensive weekend for me
  15. fleaflicker line is great against the fleas (not one flea all year)
  16. Lt troller 20# mono fleaflicker line and clean spoons off the riggers w/ 10- 20' leads.
  17. left the dock at 5. spent the majority of the day in 146 fow. empty screen but lots of fish. down temp was 70 degrees down 90'. 65-100 on the riggers w/ 70' be the best. nbk, habanero, green glow nk, glow green thunder, and 42 second spoons all took fish. 240- 265 on the wire green glow spin doctors w/ any green fly. ended the day 12 for 25 (11 kings and 1 steelie). had a heck of a time getting the fish to the net

  21. all in all it was a great day on the water for everyone. fished from 5am till noon. lots of active kings early (including one for the board) then late morning it turned to steelies. spent the day working 80- 110 fow 30-65' down. glow, glow, glow was the key for us. lead, riggers, wire, everything was working.
  22. PM headed out about 5 . lake was rolling 2-4 ft out of the west. set up in 100 fow on a north troll. 220-260' fow the action picked up. 85-99' down on the riggers- lazer nk money, 42 second spoon (hot), 260' on the wire glow spin doc w/ seaweed fly. ended the night 5 for 8 all kings. action was hot....... and then about 8:00 my downrigger battery died (kinda put a damper on things)
  23. hey bandit on saturday there was a huge surface temp break in 520' of water (6 degrees). capt bogey was fishing out there and they were doing pretty good. temp break fishing is a great reason to fish deep water. heres a link http://www.coastwatch.msu.edu/ontario/o12.html
  24. hey guys the boat your refering to was the "seth green". we spent sunday morning trolling around each other in 200-260 fow. real impressive trolling rig.......
