  1. If you are going Mark, I might as well as tag along this year. Santa brought me a Bass Pro gift card for x-mas.
  2. Sorry for you and your family's loss Ray.
  3. Let me know when you get the smoker fired up Mark It's gonna take a whole lot of  before I eat one of them things
  4. Every port on the lake will have boats fishing in shallow this weekend, and from reading other online reports, there will be plenty of people salmon fishing in the rivers also. It's no secret
  5. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS We gave the inside water a good try for the first time this season, as there seemed to be better numbers of fish jumping/surfacing in shallow, and some good colored water from the wind the past 2 days. We only landed 1 for 4 in the am, but moved back in shallow in the afternoon and they were more active, as we landed 2 out of 3 in the last hour of yesterdays trip. #4 Green glow, and silver bullet J-plugs 90-120 back were the best, and we got some bites on mag spoons on the riggers 40-50 back and 5 feet down. The fish seemed to like the faster 2.5-2.8 gps speed, so we didn't run the J-13 rapalas. Be very carefull in shallow this year as the water is lower, and you can't get as shallow as you could in previous years. Going out the East side of the channel is dangerous as there is something only 2-3 feet down, and even going out the west side of the channel the bottom is showing that it comes up to only 4-5 feet on the fishfinder!!! Just wanted to give a quick report of our first shot on the wall this year. ====================
  6. It was a tough day out there today. We worked our way all the way out to the 29 line and only got 2 3 year olds, and 3 steelies. We only had 2 rigger bites all day!, so I would say you guys did pretty good. It's been a little tough since the big blow on Friday. Lets hope it comes back together tommorrow. All but one of our keeper fish today came on 210-260 spin doc/fly divers.
  7. Way to go again Brian, and it was nice to finally meet you at the awards ceremony!!!!! That fish could have ate our clients 1st place brown if he wanted to
  8. Like Paul said, the smell in the harbor is as when the water level drops over the summer, all of the algea that has been growing on the piers over the year gets exposed to the sun, and dies/rots. Have you ever pulled weeds/grass clipings and left them in a wheelbarrow for a few days? They don't smell too nice either after a few days rotting in the sun and being rained on!!!!
  9. PS II. If they have a pool, it's the only one you are going to find in the immediate area. If you can trailer your boat , the Golden Hill State Park launch ramp is straight North of there, and launching there would put you right between the Oak, and Olcott for fishing!!!! Otherwise staying there would be a 25-30 minute drive to the Oak. - Mick
  10. All right Mark!!! Looks like you guys had fun. We had our fair share of plastic bags, and debris also yesterday, but the fishing made up for it. Way to go!!!!
  11. Way to go guys!!! Looks like a fun day was had by All!!!!!
  12. Not all of them, but there are docks in at both the East, and West side ramps
  13. I haven't been by there lately in the morning Brian , but I believe they open at 8 am for winter hours. I'm not sure when they change over to spring/summer hours.
  14. Hey Mark, that bucket looks familiar too bad we'll have to wait a while to try and fill it up again
  15. Way to go Uncle Bill and Andrew
  16. Hey All. My friend is looking for a used Big Jon triple rod holder to set up his boat with. He has 1, and wants another for a matching setup. If you have one for sale call Jack at 585 682 3099, or pm me here and I will pass on the info. Thank's - Mick
  17. Way to go. I just got back home from there, and couldn't get any of those toothy critters to bite. No eyes either, but a ton of dink perch and some smallies and gills kept the rods moving all weekend to keep the kids happy. I hadn't been down in 3 years, so it was fun just to be there again. We stayed at Yerkeys, and mainly fished outside the weedline between the bell tower and we wan chu. Gongrats on the ski!!!!
  18. It was a blast guys!!!That was our best morning on big kings all year!!!
  19. Thanks guys. Had the day off, and worked on the boat, spent time with my family, and went to bed early to get up and fish hard for our clients today. Instead of a spoon Ray send me any of your old glow ghost j-plugs, as I'm fresh out, and have the feeling I'll be needing them soon.
