  1. Too funny..my wife is on there and I tell her it should be called "wastebook" ...but I do see the networking potential for the types of businesses you listed. Tank

Very cool..the kids love it! Tank
  3. Just an FYI..found this deer on the official Boone and Crockett website and it was officially entered into record for 06'. Shot by an amish boy with a crossbow, in Ohio. Tank
  4. Rusty, I get where you were coming from now. The email stories have changed but the owner of the website that hosted the blog even furnished a link(although now outdated) to the Ohio DNR. Seems pretty legit and I know I saw this deer in a major publication in 06' or 07'. I agree about the citing the sources comment. I actually have a Bachelors degree in wildlife management. I did the research on this one and think it is legit. Time out...Willie Flacid..ha ha ha.. we all get it, bottom line is that this deer was shot and a major publication featured it... my point was that the part that mentioned Willie Flacid was false.. Tank
  5. Hey Rusty, did you click on the link..sure seems real to me :? Tank
  6. Turns out it was actually 06'..here is the link http://blog.kingsoutdoorworld.com/2006/ ... tail-deer/ Check out update #2. Tank
  7. Yeah Junkie is right. I didn't catch the Wisconsin part. I do know it was Ohio. Tank
  8. Awesome buck..It was actually taken last season though. I believe it was featured in North American Whitetail also from last year. Tank
  9. Stalked up to this buck from 200 to 70 yards during the most miserable weather I have ever seen on opening day. Double lung, he went about 100 yards...and once again back home to see the boys...good luck to all! Tank ***Just wanted to add that I consider both of the bucks I took under this subject heading to be trophies. The subject just clicked with me as I would normally pass on deer this size so that they can get older and bigger. Thanks, Tank *****
  10. Yankee, both are nice bucks..cool main beam tips on the smaller one! I do European mounts for most of the "smaller" bucks I have taken also. Tank.
  11. Double WOW!!! Whereabouts did he take it? Looks like it would gross higher?? Tank
  12. That's a great buck!! Can I ask a question out of curiosity? Has the lack of antlers over 5 years been due to no opportunities at any antlered deer or passing up smaller ones? Just curious. Regardless, great deer and congrats!! Tank
  13. Cool Rob..is that a normal video camera? Any problems in cold temps? Tank
  14. Thanks Rob, Scott and T-barb, I hear ya can't wait for the boys to join me..they already want to go, they have both already been out during gun season on a retrieval(close to camp). Scott..I live in that world too..too funny, but pulls at the heartstrings...Tank
  15. The last few years have been tough on trophy hunting with my two boys missing me when I'm at camp..so the last few years I have taken smaller bucks. Saturday night one of my boys cried to me on the phone that he missed me......so I decided to take the next buck that came by....well I missed that one Sunday morning, but I didn't miss the one below. I had two bucks in front of me and they were posturing up on eachother. Cool hunt and I shot him at 18 yards and dropped him where he stood(single lung and broke the shoulder on the opposite side). Great hunt and home to see the boys!! Still feels great to take a deer with bow!! Did see some big bucks this weekend, but didn't have shots...they'll have to wait for shotgun! Good luck to all! Tank
  16. Nice job, great deer! 125-135ish for sure! Tank
  17. Nice buck Keith and your right on with the score from what I can see. Tank
  18. Rob, you can't beat Mike Smith. He does all butchering with a knife(no saws), like Gene did. He is on Peck Road, 1/2 mile East of Clarkson/Parma townline road. I don't have his number but he has a sign out front and someone is always there to take deer. Tank
  19. The bottom line with PETA in my opinion is they do not value human life, they do not value the history of man and how we have lived to survive and they DO NOT value GOD. GOD created man and enabled us to enjoy and use the animals HE created. We as hunter's and fisherman VALUE and respect GOD'S creatures far more than PETA will ever. We also understand the "good of the whole" population concept, not the individual. Conservation is key!! Tank.
  20. Nice job guys! Must have been fun catching those nice steelies in calm water! Tank.
