  1. Cool. Look forward to meeting you at weigh in!
  2. I think a slug fest is fun but still presents the need for strategy. Tough bite gives opportunity for skill but man does it suck! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Not at all! You're an excited and competitive fisherman! I don't think anyone here could relate haha! Good luck in the west end! B)

  9. I've been hearing 30 fow east side. There is a shelf at 40 fow that drops to 80 so what some will do is anchor in 40 and cast over the ledge and work a jig up the ledge upon retrieve. Not sure how they avoid the zebras. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I have (6) 47lc s on black 8' Heartland rods. $75/pc. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Nice! We picked up a hybrid on January. 2007 Jayco 26l exp. Now I need the 3 rows of seats for the 4 kids! We booked overflow for the Derby. Is there a way too get on a waiting list for cancelations? Would rather be in the loops for sure. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Kevin, Saw a couple decent pop ups in Seneca falls. One on 5&20 just west of village (had a slide out). Another on middle black brook road. If you'd like I can stop next time I drive by and get details. -Jason Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Cross-waves? Following waves? Head waves? I think I prefer following but when in a bigger boat the waves cause a tug-of-war battle with the fish as they cause the boat to surge forward. We actually had to pull lines and back down on a fish before to net it. I'm curious to hear other's thoughts on this.
  14. I like longer lines when the wind kicks up. Having shorter leads causes some crazy up and down action on your lures that probably don't look natural. By having longer leads, some of this up and down action is taken out. Last year during the Sodus Pro-Am (Very Rough) we had a lot of fish come off the bottom to look at our presentation only to return to the bottom again. We had removed our junk lines for fear of a tangle. When we put a copper down the chute, that was what finally fired. Chris makes a very good point about tangles. To avoid this, I'd suggest picking a line and working one direction for a long period of time. When it's time to turn, you may need to pull lines (especially junk lines on the inside of the turn).
  15. Haha. Take it easy Chris. I get your point, I just disagree with your logic. Shot placement is what makes the shot ethical, not the caliber. Pap dropped that deer in it's tracks which sounds like an ethical shot to me. I've seen a lot of unethical shots in my hunting career and I wouldn't blame a one of them on the cailber. Just my .02 It's all good, Jason
  16. What caliber would make this scenario "ethical"?
  17. Possibly the last trip ever on the Upgrady! Nice job Hans!
  18. Any secrets to keeping the fillets from sticking to the grates? I looked at that pic Musky posted in the first post and he has nice grate marks on the fillets. I usually have to scrape the fillet off what sticks to the grate. I do this over a pan so I can save all the loose fillet pieces for sandwich spread (so it's not a total loss).
