  1. That is an awesome book. Earl was way ahead of his time on when he wrote that. I flip through my book once a season. Good Luck finding one I see them online for $70 used.
  2. Where are all the pig lakers hanging out, I think I will go through the archive of way points and see what I can do to boost Cayuga's lead.
  3. The debris is in pockets, I managed to rip both transducers off the back of my boat during B&B weekend. This past weekend the debris is less but I noticed on more then one occasion the large stuff is getting water logged and sitting almost under the surface. We did a few fish over the weekend but the warm water moves from one day to the next.
  4. I am interested. Does this have a model number stamped on it some where? I Need it good for just under 4000 lbs? Feel free to call my cell 607 761 9818 [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  5. I am running the swivels same as you. Actually, one on back end of the dipsey, a smaller one attached to the stock swivels that come on the S/D's I have been thinking about this. I am not sure when it is twisting? I know when I release the dipsey for retreival I feel it pop but no relief in reeling the thing in. Then I get it close and see the leader from dispey to flasher has twisted numerous times??? I am stumped!
  6. jeb . no snubber used and problem persists.
  7. Andy I appreciate the candor in your reply, but maybe I wasn't clear when or where it happening. This is occuring when the dipsey is in the water behind the boat. The annoying part is obviously the twist and the un-tangle but even when I release the dipsey to real it in due to the twist it comes like your holding plywood in a wind storm. How about your thoughts on the revised situation? [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  8. Unique situation I can't seem to work past? I switched from size1 dispeys to the mag dispeys this season and the same problem keeps occurring. The dipsey will twist with the line that runs back to the flasher. I have never had this problem with the old size 1's. I have had this happen over and over this past weekend to the point where I had to cut wire and re-do my terminal end. I am letting it out plenty slow. Any suggestions? 9. Fished Sat and Sun out of Myers Pt. Saturday was a nice day for a boat ride. We managed to boat a few OK silver fish off the boards and shallow riggers. I can honestly say from just north of AES and south was a dead zone. I counted 3 bait pods all day and no fish per say on the screen. We even hit Rusty Rats Honey Hole and Nothing- picture was terrible. To top off the day heading in I decided to hit a log, never saw it before or after so Sat night I was repairing the 2 transducers on the back of the boat. Luckily some super glue did the trick for a temporary fix. Sunday we came up with a new plan and it worked just no money fish. We fished some warm water we found on Sat South of Myers and Taughannock. The temps rose 3 degrees from Sat and the fished in moved. We did over 40 fish by noon, nothing over 7lbs though. All fish came on shallow riggers and core on the boards. I figured we were having a great time and could not set the rods fast enough in most cases before the next one came. Why leave fish to find other fish. But all in all a great weekend and every upgrade we did to the rig worked out awesome. And Apparently if I want some of those mud chickens I have to run north. we will be up all next weekend for the holiday. Catch me on 68. And if your looking a for lunch I promised my wife when we're done trollin, I'd take her to Kidders, join us if you want?
  10. Mark you on Cayuga this weekend? I need to get you some $$$$. Call me. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  11. My larson has the same problem. I drilled out a hole plumbed a drain line that runs down bilge and I have the option to screw a piece of 1 inch pvc pipe into the hole so it will hold water if I want.
  12. scott, I'll be dropping off the entry money to you Friday. Same as usual. Will the restriction on the lake be lifted?
  13. I run copper down the chute most of the summer, I generally put the rod in the arch to free up space or I'll put it in a rod holder that is puts the rod parallel to water straight off the side of the boat. I do on occasion wrap around it but a quick response generally results with the fish in the net and the rod moved to another rod holder.
  14. Posted May 2, 2011 Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Sheriff's Office has issued a boating advisory for Cayuga Lake due to the high water level. Boaters are asked to be aware of the large amounts of debris in the lake due to water run off. WBNG E-News - Sign Up For Our Newsletter! The inlet is a NO WAKE ZONE and boaters should take this into consideration. The NO WAKE ZONE will be strictly enforced. Boaters are asked to maintain NO WAKE within 1000' from the Cayuga Lake shoreline. http://www.wbng.com/news/around-the-tie ... 88409.html
  15. Fords marina is worse than myers. Can't even see the docks water is way out into he parking lot [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  16. I just installed it on my new yamaha 9.9 ht. We did have to do some tweeking so it would work. Your welcome to look at on my rig. it's in my drive till Friday then on Cayuga for the summer
  17. My father had an old spectrum with 50hp outboard. I remember from the day we had it, it never spit a steady stream. never ran hot either an put hours on trolling and running from spot to spot. Call Vic at eyerock marine in conklin. He was a great mechanic when he worked Nic's Marine and they were force dealers. Even though the owner turned out to be a bum, he was great and had that 50 running like a top.
  18. Mark, what is the count now? Maybe we should throw this out on a couple of the other sites message boards? Let me know if JR at C&S did right by you?
  19. Mine also has tinted windows. I believe that the rule is you must have an unobstructed view from the helm. I never had a problem at Myers Pt in Finger lakes Marina. I have kept my boat there for numerous seasons. There are alot of people that stay there all season long. Catch me up there, I'm docked near the gas pumps
  20. I have Kevin Jerge from Wilson Boat Yard coming down with in the next 10 days or so to install a raymarine on my boat. He'll most likely do it in my Drive or at my shop depending on weather(both in the town of Maine near the airport). Your welcome to stop up and chat with him while he's here? He is a straight shooter and won't sell you more then you need.
  21. I ran an independent fuel line right from the tank, much more direct route and included a primer bulb. Most tanks have easy access for adding a second feed line also I like the option to kick in the big motor at any time. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  22. My I/o to yamaha works great. Just check the clamps so they stay tight on the kicker and keep an eye on where the bracket is welded on the brackets. I have made few repairs over the years but with the hours I have on the ez steer it is expected [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  23. I've been fishing Cayuga for many years, never seen a walleye although I have heard reports. To be honest the hours I put on the water trolling every season, if there is any walleye population I should have stumbled upon at least one of them. Keep us in the loop of any sightings.
  24. Ok to clarify: I have the troll master and there is presently no application for the 9.9HT , One of the brackets works with couple shims and a sligt bend.
