  1. I use LC with my dipsys and flatlines with keel sinkers.
  2. Took a friend and his nephews who were visiting from Ohio. The boys have never fished before, including worming for panfish! I explained the benefits about being on the water early, but none the less, we headed out about 11am. A good stiff SSW wind made it a bit bumpier than the newbies cared for so we headed straight out the river rather than west toward Braddocks.. Set up at 150 with 2 riggers spooned with cheaters. Dipsy on lead core at 250 and a 7 Color down the chute. We worked west covering 50-80 over 170. After a couple hours of fighting boredom and the wind, we started working in a bit and marked bait about 60/120. Then bang, the oldest boy takes....a 7 lb steely on a Orage Crush 75 down.. Rerigged and swung around to hit the bait again when I hear....."How Much Longer We Gonna Be Out Here?" Needless to say, it wasnt much longer. Had another steely spit a hook after the bait pile but at that point, both kids were green and on the floor. Back at the launch, they were out of the boat like the were shot from a cannon and never seen again!. LMAO!
  3. Indeed! Because I have always had excellent experiences with Arneys and the opposite with Krenzers. As far as Reiters, good people! I use to do business with Bud back in the 90's and he was a good guy. I also have done business with the place next door. Good folk there too, however I beleive they have changed hands several times over the years.
  4. They use to remove the docks completely. Never a problem.
  5. Just don't be lazy and bury the trailer to float it off or on. Just far enuff to float the transom and push or power off. Winch on.
  6. Nice catch for sure! I spent every summer up there for more than 20 years beginning in the 60's. I have to ask....that deck in the background looks familiar. Was that pic taken in the river on the South side, near the islands heading out to the bay? We never caught eyes when I was going up there. It was always Sm/Lm Bass, Pike, and typical panfish and some big cats. Some BIG pike along what we called the wall (weeds) in the bay heading towards Sacketts. The bass and Pike fishing really slowed after they started stocking salmon in the 80's. Still..., a beautiful area! Really miss that place Good fishing!

  11. Doing some camping at Lake Bluff in a couple weeks and will be fishing 1 day at least in the bay. Im thinking the closest launch will be Arneys. Im familiar with the area, just not the fishing. Looking to hook into some Bass and/or Pike. If anyone can offer some info on finding the fish, it would be much appreciated.
  12. I would like one. 40$ shipped to Rochester? Let me know, Shawn
  13. Well that sounds like a wonderful evening, and was Mr. Green excited about his fishing experience ? . As a matter of fact, he hasn't been to work since! LMAO
  14. At least somebody caught fish. I fished 75-170 FOW from 5-8pm and not a taker. I did manage to lose 1 torpedo, and tangle a bunch of lines though, so all was not lost! To top it off, on the way in about 2 miles off shore, the lake kicked up pretty good. Before I knew it, the new guy was the Green Guy!
