  1. We Just got back from are first time fishing the St Catharines Scotty KOL, We got started on Friday morning just East of the marina, we trolled threw some massive bait pods to start out and had to clean 10 inch sawbellys of all the lines. We put the rigs out and moved out to about 40FOW and the size 0 dipsey with a green gator spoon took off towards the West. After a nice battle with a fat spring king we had a 22lb fish in the boat. I just start to get the dipsey back out and both riggers fire. We get both fish in the boat one 21lbs and the other 17lbs. Now I am thinking we have a dam good chance this weekend. We finished the day out with two more kings and some big Lakers. I was wishing it was Saturday we would have had over a 90lb box. The weigh in for big fish Friday was at 3pm we were in third place at 22.08 then the last cooler to weigh in bumped us to 4th by less than an oz. Saturday we hit the same spot and after one hard day of fishing with only an hour left we had only three small kings in the boat. We changed spots I put a copper NK NBK on a ten color rig and let it out on the church board. About ten minutes later the board goes under water with about 200 ft of backing and the fish brakes off. We ended the day with three fish that weighed combined just over 22lbs , as big as just one of our fish the day before. Two boxes over 90 were weighed in on Saturday, but most had one to three fish. It looks like we will see some huge kings this year one team had a fish that was 27lbs , that’s a big spring king. Sunday they delayed the start do to wind so we loaded up the boat and headed home so I could spend some time with the kids. The flasher fly bite did not happen Friday or Saturday. All the kings came on spoons, and jointed rapalas, and other cranks in 40 to 50 FOW. We had good time learned some about the lake at the West end, like where I should have been fishing . Congratulations to the teams that got it done this weekend . And we will see you in Wilson.
  2. Can we use the first page of the post for an entry form. Sean
  3. Fished the South end of Cayuga today with Nick, and Bob from the Forum. We had about the worst fishing conditions you could have but I wanted to get the boat out and run some gear. It all worked great, the fishing was what I thought it would be SLOW. We did put 10 in the boat one laker, one brown, and the rest were salmon. No real big fish we did keep one and the rest went back to grow up. Thanks for going guys and we need to get out again when we dont have a cold front with 30mph winds. Crank baits in the top 20 FOW did the most damage. Sean
  4. have a set of the big ones I am going to try Saturday, going to run them with the church boards and see how they stack up.
  5. Well said Ray. Did Bill file the complaint with the police or is it just being talked about? If it happend like was stated above they will be arrested. Sean
  6. Its the Ram mounting systems #RAM-B-138-GA6 For Garmin GPS 76 series. Sean
  7. Albright Knot, I have around 20 core riggs and have not had that knot fail yet. I will get with you Saturday on the lake and we can run the core program 5 to 6 riggs on each side Just need some more guys in the boat Sean
  8. Jim what kind of steering do you have. The Garmin GHP -10 I just put on my boat is great and very user friendly. Its not cheap but it works at any speed, with GPS and its own compass. It also has shadow drive so if you turn the wheel when the autopilot is on then hold the wheel steady the autopilot takes over at the new heading. Sean
  9. For any of you that have the troll master, the crapy mounting hardware they give you to mount the control box stinks. I found a ram mount that is made for a handheld garmin GPS unit, that works great. I will get the product number later. Just rap the back of the control box with a little rubber tape and it will never fall out. I also put in a fillet table / Beverage tray at the back of the boat mounted on a traxsteck rigger mount with a six inch track.
  10. Yup going to fish the St Catharines, and three more we hope. Looks like I can do one pro am also. Should be a great time. I have been so busy with the boat it will be nice to start fishing. Sean
  11. The DRYDECK has quite a bit of grip. My floor had plenty of grip but I wanted to protect it and I was sick of cleaning all of the black scuff marks. The stuff goes together eazy 1ft squares that snap together. Sean
  12. stoutner what depth wereyou running your flasher and fly combos? Get them out on wire divers down below 90 this time of year, most of your lakers are down deep for a couple more weeks.
  13. Rollie do you redrill both holes 1/2 towards back of board? and are you moving the holes for the tow line or the weight? Thanks Sean
  14. Yvan sent you a PM thanks Sean Brown
  15. I think you need the rope, but some guys that pull heavy copper on hear should have the measurments to use. I need them myself I am replacing my cord. Sean
  16. Do you have hydraulic steering?
  17. Does the T4 have throtle control or do you need the troll master with it?
  18. Sounds good nick what time tommorow do you want me to call ya. I need to get on it so I can order what parts I will need monday, I cant have the boat layed up this time of year. Sean
  19. The money made from tickets from this law is nothing compared to what it cost the state and countys to hunt for just one body in the lake for a week or two. Your talking some major OT at over a dollar a minute per man.
  20. Hi Guys, Just noticed the brake pads are shot (down to paper thin) on my boat tailer. I only ran the trailer one year I did hall it a lot last summer. Is this normal? I have brakes on only one axel (surge brakes). Do these type brakes hang up and where down fast? Thanks Sean
  21. Nice Ray and Bob, That Parker is going to see some Ontario tournament time this year. We have to see if some Finger Lakes boys can bring some more money home You guys are welcome on board any time. Bob I hope that T-4 works I would like to see one in action. Sean
  22. Ha, you bet three fuse panels up front and two in the back I should be out for a test run on Saturday. I got to teach the crew how to use it all. By the time they get it down I will be puting in new stuff.
  23. Try it raw let me know how you make out
  24. Well I should have the boat back together this weekend after 4 weeks of boat projects. I thought I would post some info, and I will get some Pics up this weekend. It might help some one else with a boat project. Project List Garmin GHC-10 autopilot, this thing should be great, it has shadow drive just hold the helm steady and the autopilot takes over. One thing I learned is if I had it to do over again I would get all Garmin electronics. I called them three times for questions and had a person in less than two minutes each time. I called Lowrance two times and was on the phone over 60 min to get a real person. Also I found some good guys to deal with for hydraulic lines and fittings for the system. Sirius Radio/Weather Sterio System Lowrance Broadband Radar If you have a Lowrance HDS unit this thing is easy to hook up, They claim it uses less energy than a cell phone. Troll Master Two It looks like they made some good changes I had the old trollmaster and this unit looks great Big Jon electric planer Mast Custom Sterio Cabinet to put under helm to hide all of the wires for all of the stuff above From Fin Addict Marine, they also built my tackle storage station. NMEA 2000 network and Lowrance Navico expansion port. Dry Deck Flooring I spent a alot of time on the phone with these companys and NMEA installers learning how to intall it all. So if any of you need some info just send an e-mail. Sean Had it out yesterday It all worked great, The radar kicks but I was picking up single seagalls with no problems, and the autopilot was very easy to set up on the water, trolled into the wid at 1 mph never lost corse. Washed and waxed today ready for the lake [i
  25. I have the 9.9 high thrust on my 23ft Parker 7000lbs and have trolled into 6 to 8ft waves with no problem. No one could stand up on the boat and the kicker throtle was now where maxed out. Either the T8 OR 9 will work great, and I would sell most of my gear to get the 4 stroke I cant stand to smell the gas fumes from a 2 stroke.
