Yeah probably the fuel pump I run a 9.9 yamaha from my main tank with no problems. One thing I read was to mount your squeeze primer bulb vertical so the check valve in it works to its full potential. My fuel line has to be at least 8 foot or so with no probs. TD

I won't be at Sampson this year have been for the last few. I will be heading out of the south end this year, I got a slip for the season because high fuel prices didn't want to tow every trip back and forth all summer. Will be the first year I have ever fished the derby from the South end. We'll see maybe some luck will show up again this year!! I get more excited with every passing day only 12 more working days till I am off for the derby!! Jeremy

I use a ControllKing for the throttle on mine. I love it. I considered forward controls but in hind sight am glad I went with the digital throttle control. You can fine tune your speed instantly from the helm, also bump the throttle at an time which a lot of times triggers a strike. I vote for a Digital throttle controller TD

Followed Nicks lead on the East side. Started off hitting the shore line with boards only pulled two small LL of a rigger. Moved out to deeper water 200-250 fow and hit a few more fish with the nicest being a 6-7 lbs LL. Ended up like 6 for 8 or so. Hot colors where what ever you had on when you went through the fish. When you found them they hit. Not a bad day for the first trip of the year Boat ran great new electronics worked awesome. Boat is now tied to slip ready for another trip hopefully soon. TD

Yeah launching in montour and fishin in the morning, then will be at the marina getting the bumpers and lines all set on her. Come on Down! Your gonna love the yamaha, I love mine. I have one of those digital controllers at the helm for it, best money I ever spent. Especially with gas being stupid pricey these days. It is nice also because it is quiet with boast with such tall transoms as ours it just sits back there and purrs sipping the fuel....We'll talk later... Jeremy

Hey anyone got a 4-stroke yamaha that they could look at for me? I am installing a rectifier on my motor to give it the ability to charge my batteries while running. I also have a 9.9 Yamaha I like it. I have owned 2 Merc 4 strokes as well, I advise staying away from them the Yamahas and hondas seem to be of higr quality in my opinion. But most of all spend the extra 200 bucks and get a digital throttle controller they are awesome and it saves you from having to buy forward controlls. I like the 4 strokes but most of all I like the precision throttle control!! TD
