  9. if you dont trust your counter on your rigger and your not marking your balls on FF try slowing up a bit til ya mark them... that will get ya close think the best thing i did this year was lose my probe for my fish hawk fish the marks and set speed by the dipsy rods and blow back on rigger cables
  10. use rigger counter for depth.... disregard the temp as most of the fish are coming way below temp.....
  11. 19 strand runs close in price... just the way its made i guess
  12. when running it out be sure to check it closely.... i found a bad spot at 250' the other day
  13. i ran the 7 strand last year.. complained to the company about the knot strenghth and much fraying.... they suggested trying the 19 strand...so i bought 3 spools of the 19 strand this spring.....still junk..... back to 7 strand malin for me
  14. 30 lb mono works fine ( be sure to check it often and change if needed) when fishing solo i run 4 or 5' leads but when others are on board i may stretch em out to 8-10'
  15. headed NW out of the salmon river to last wknds waypoints set up in 225 FOW 1 wire out 300' w/white spin dr and morning wood fly other wire out 240' w/hammer paddle and custom blue weenie fly at 260 fow the 300 wire takes off..... nice lil 8 lb king keep going to 380 fow with no more action turned SW pulled the 240 wire and dropped a rigger to 130 with a silver plaid paddle and green crinkle back into 250 fow the rigger fires.... lake trout about 6 lbs.....then another laker shortly after pulled the rigger and reset the 240 wire got back into 190 FOW and the 240 wire takes off....15 min battle and hes gone.... after that from 190 -170 fow i couldnt keep the 240 wire in the water ended with 6 kings and 4 lakers put 2 in the box that wouldnt have made it anyways all in all a good solo run
