  1. long trip for you but up north...perch lake...eel bay...lake of the isles...red lake all have 10-14 inches
  2. mayby 100 ppl on the green point end and less over near the steak house and eddies cove.... still kinda limited on where to fish due to open water all around the pond
  3. we started out sat morn with a very strong NE wind and cool temps...found 3 inches of ice out off green point with open water just 100 yards away... managed 4 pike....3 bass... no perch before calling it quits about noon...bree entered a 29" 6.4lb pike sunday brought below zero temps but no wind... back at same spot..got 7 pike...6 bass....mayby a dozen perch (small) headed to weigh-ins about 1 with a pike to enter ended up to be 31.5" and 7.8lbs AND the winner for the derby CONGRATS to BREE
  4. slow day today..managed 2 northerns over 6 lbs... many many bass....and the final touch was this 15" crappie sandy pond derby with my daughter this wknd....hope we can find atleast 3 inches of ice somewhere on the pond

  8. the five we kept were in the 5 and 6 lb range.... no big boys
  9. there was 9 inches...nobody driving out yet....just my opinion but only a dam fool would put a $ 40,000 truck on the ice
  10. made a trip to eel bay this morning with bree.....was minus 25 when we hit the ice at six....put probably 20 pike and 25 perch on the ice

  13. this early season is great.... salmon season is all but over after labor day then you can jump right into your lay out blind and have some great goose action..... 78 birds and counting so far
  14. been out of pine grove all year with my 23' sport craft....no problems....saves that 5-7 mile run out of mexico
  15. yea that storm was a good one....we went back out about 10 after it had passed only to get chased in by another about 2 in my opinion the roller rod with wire is a bad combo.....have used one with copper this year and it seems ok with that
  16. can run flies/peanuts/spin-glo/spoons/flatfish spin-glo is most popular cause they are a lil more speed tolerant

  18. i've been running the 11" kingfishers green glow with the splatter head and blue/silver with the blue/white rig

  22. fishing has been good out in front of the salmon river last few weeks fish being taken from 120-600 fow riggers and dipsies been good you'll be fine in an 18 out there fish only getting closer as its about time for them to hit the rivers.... lot of dark fish last couple days so there coming up out of temp stick with the water you know....fish are there
  23. thanks all was the hi ho silver rocket yea rod i really appreciate the chance to sample these rockets.... i never ran many meat rigs before but am enjoying the success with these 13 fish and counting on the crazy fish... (multiple fish helps offset the cost....lmao )
