  2. Here's a site for permits. Apparently it's easier after getting the 1st one, and probably worth the $25 they charge you for filing. http://wideloadshipping.com/guides/boat-shipping/oversize-boat-trailer-permits/
  3. Funny I don't have much luck with the Spin Doctors. Flashers and flies do it for me.
  4. I also use the Stingers and have caught steelhead with them
  5. I agree with you. It seems like the new mayor has other priorities besides Wrights Landing. I stopped by earlier to buy a new launch permit to find the shack still boarded up, 2 days before the season opens. On the one hand they're not charging guys to launch, on the other they're losing some revenue, but maybe it doesn't justify paying someone to collect a few bucks.
  6. I had Willie Boats build mine a few years back and they sent me pics of the build while it was going on. I had a hot shot driver from Oregon trailer it for $1500 cash, and I met him along the route in Ohio, so he could get a back haul nearby. Saved me money that way. Lately I've been looking at boats with a cabin, but since I mostly fish alone, and I'd never be able to replace my Willie if I didn't like the bigger boat I'm hesitant to do it.

  8. I just use wire leaders like these with snaps on each end. http://www.basspro.com/Nylon-Coated-Wire-Leaders/product/1626/?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions

I actually made a 4" high storage box and used the seat as a lid for it. It's really pretty comfortable.

I love my FX 50. Been using it for 6 or 7 seasons now.
  11. I use the Canon terminators on my Scotty's. Just run the wire thru and snap it shut. I keep a kit on my boat so they go about $2.50 each.
  12. Do Chinook Divers run straight or are they just directional?
  13. I know you've been looking for a parts auto pilot, but have you talked to Raymarine? Their service is really good. 14. Has anyone sent this video to the DEC? Maybe they're already doing something seeing how it's pretty obvious that the fish are being snagged.
  15. What's the name of the 2nd one from the top? That one looks like a winner. Thank you.
  16. I mounted mine opposite the fish finder transducer and on my kicker side and when I got some interference from the splash of my kicker I called Fishawk and he told me to just increase the gain from the factory setting and it worked fine.
  17. My early season was really good also, but the last 2 times out I've been skunked. The weather hasn't cooperated either. I don't drive the 5 hrs up unless I can get at least 3 good days fishing in a row during the week, and the blows have made that difficult last few weeks.
  18. When I got old and fat I bent a piece of EMT and made a handle to push my Eskimo out like a shopping cart. It made things a little easier.
  19. Just got a confirm email / shattered emerald and crushed uv
  20. I just tried them at 4.40 and the cart went through.
  21. There's party boat fishing up in Plymouth. I've been on this one for Cod. http://www.captjohn.com/ You can also fish the canal.
  22. Right next door is Pine Grove, you can launch there and head straight out of the Salmon River.
  23. You can call a Raymarine Tech right from the boat at 1-800-539-5539. (8 AM-5 PM Mon-Fri.) They have walked me thru a problem I had with a unit.
  24. I was looking for a depth chart for magnum dipsy's when I came across this. It calculates depth by speed and distance out, whether your running braid, and has depths for lead and the other divers beside dipsy's. Just click on the diver you're using. I looked into it when I had the dipsy's out in 100' and they were bottoming. Come to find out I've been running way deep thinking it's 3-1. Here's the site. http://dipsytroller.com/
