  1. Kind of like a flasher cut up and spread out. Thanks
  2. Sharing your trip with us!!
  3. Great looking fish. Looks like you have that lake figured out. Totally agree on the blessings we have to be able to fish and get the family involved. As parents we set the example, and having spent the past few years setting limits on social media and video game time for our kids, it's a challenge for sure. Thanks for
  4. I completely agree. My wife says I'm like an excited kid just getting ready to go fishing so with a fish on that's the look. That pic has my vote for best of the year.
  5. Sounds like an active trip thanks for the post. Hoping to hit the water out of Dean's Sunday morning if the weather isn't too bad. By the way, what is a grease trap?
  6. Those pictures of the kids are priceless. Enjoy the week!!
  7. I'm in the Fingerlakes of New York. Fishing Cayuga lake exclusively at this time.
  8. Wondering if any of you works with a shop that does a good job outfitiing reels with copper set ups. My first and only copper rig came all set up by ATomik a few years back but I don't see that they handle reels anymore. I would like to start building an arsenal of shorter setups to run off boards but I don't trust my abilities to connect leaders and backing to copper. Thanks, Greg
  9. Sounds good. In years past we typically worked at speeds primarily between 1.8 and 2.2. Thanks
  10. That photo is priceless!! Reminds me of when we first started on Cayuga 6-7 years ago and my kids were shorter than me. Now they are passing me by but got out with one this weekend for the first time in a couple years. Headed North from Dean's Cove in the afternoon and stayed between 120 and 200 fow. Marked loads of fish especially in the 80-100 range. Brought in a hefty Laker and lost 2 others. All hits on flasher flies between 80 and 100 feet. Riggers never fired. Excited to get back out and hoping to make some regular trips this year. My question to you all is boat speed. I don't have a probe to measure speed or temp at depth so just wondering what kind of top water speed I should be working. Thanks in advance for your responses. Greg
  11. That is one super buck. Tell us how your hunt came together. Did you know he was out there or just a total holy cow here comes an elk!! Greg [ Post made via Android ]

  16. I would like to jump in on this as I'm considering an autopilot as well. The main motor, (220 Evinrude), is tied to the kicker, (9.9 hp Yamaha), and my usage would be when the kicker is working for trolling. How exactly do you link the unit to the GPS, and considering my GPS is outdated, should I get two compatible units? Thanks, Greg
  17. Thank you for sharing!! Congratulations Greg
  18. Great work Bill. Looks like you better invest in some extra tree stands now as those 2 boys will be ready to do more than just scout pretty soon. Greg
  19. Vince Sounds like you let out the secret up there ......get them drunk on apples!! Just great pics and a great deer. Thanks for the posts Greg [ Post made via Android ]

  22. Frankenlaker indeed! Don't drink the water! Greg [ Post made via Android ]
  23. Bill Congratulations to you and that fine looking crew! Nothing better than doing it with your kids. My May through August this year is packed with baseball & softball with my crew so we are getting very little water activity but plenty of memories on the diamonds. I wouldn't trade it for a second.......but I am building some capital by coaching so my kids will hit the water with me on some upcoming off days!!! Also glad to hear they let you boat the big one.......for the hours of water time you put in I think you've earned it. Congrats Greg [ Post made via Android ]
