  1. one big doe for me. no mature bucks travelling along the thruway this year. oh well. somebody musta got my little 6 pointer or he got hit.
  2. theres only 3 feet of water where that guy is. he walked passed my dock to get out. if the ice broke all he would have to do is stand up.
  3. dont worry old guys you can leave me all your salmon and huge bucks whene your to old for killin.
  4. got brand new stainless mini 14 for some coyote hunting. never knew anyone who had one and after i bought it, people say its no good. i dont see anything wrong with it. i shot it a few times the day i bought it and is a hoot. i want to know what the big deal is. why would somebody recomend a sks over a ruger???????? i thought it was a m-14 made by ruger on 5.56 ammo. what seems to be the problem. the m-14 had its killing time. id like another outside opinion from some of you guys.
  5. i hear ya, who really knows i guess, but i was TOLD??? that this was shot on leased farm land in schuyler county. but as you say you all have already seen this pic. who knows. but it is definatly a king swamp donkey and if i seen him there would be some shootin goin on. it would be nice to think he was living in ny. i guess well just have to wait till the ny big buck club issue comes out for 2009. then we will know.
  6. state land is way harder to hunt, man i know. i dont have any property and kill all my deer on state land and i have never seen a buck like that on state land. Not that there not there, i just dont have what it takes to outsmart or out wait these educated swamp donkeys. u da man! GREAT state land buck. you shouldbe very proud of yourself that that u could outsmart that deer. i sit on the ground in different high percentage areas and for every deer i see, my brother sees 10 on his land. im very impressed you shot him on command basiccaly. WOW!!!
  7. regular bait heads will work fine if you know how the roll needs adjustment but it can be a pain if your new to the deal. the roller style bait holders work great all the time but cannot be adjusted for fish mood soo.... make your choice there, but as for flashers it matters not the combination, but what the fish want THAT particular day. it could be an orange r&r 8 inch skate board with 33 inches of leader or it could be green protroll 11 inch with 70 inches of leader or 20 inches of leader ooooorrrr red bait head oooorrrrr blue spin doctor with green bait head with 40 inches of leader. get the picture??? buy em all and try em all. tie up some leaders of different lengths and go from there. my tackle box looks rediculios and so should yours. once you find what works for YOU, sell the ones that didnt work to me.
  8. acctually shelby this is fully rifled and NEEDS sabot slugs only. it is so incredibly accurate. it shoots straighter at 100 yds than my cuzins 12 ga 1100 fully rifled with lightfields. im tellin ya this thing is very impressive i just hope what i have heard about lightfields new line of slugs being offered in 16 ga is true. well be looking even more like DINNER!!
  9. thanx musky i love those mournings in the dacks. they are in my heart forever. im gonna be cremated there and have them dump half my ashes in little salmon river and the other half in the marion river or oswagatchie lol
  10. wheres all the young bucks?? cant just be all old dogs fishin on lake o. another 25 years i wont have any competition out here.
  11. if its public land all you gota do is get outa the truck ond step off the road, then its perfectly legal. its just not that easy to shoot deer during deer season.
  12. dont need the drift socks with them bad boys sailin
  13. im the only young buck with a salmon boat on lake ontario at 23?? i guess my a.d.h.d. payed off somewhere
  14. i swear to god man i saw pictures they say ontario only gets rollers like that in the winter months...yup ther idiots but its true. nobody else knows about it???
  15. i havent heard of anyone surfing in the winter since my friends uncle did it 15 years ago on lake ontario. pictures looked like fun with the snow coming sideways and 15 foot waves with two idiots surfing with neoprene suits and goggles on.
  16. good ole 30 30 works good for bolth and the guns are awsome to shoot. marlins are more accurate at longer ranges. especially the new stainless xlr
  17. offshores wont dive with a king on it if you have a snap on the back release instead of a pinch pad and set the front pinch pad so it will release. just dont forget the leader bead or the board will go all the way to the fish, tearing the hooks out. the planer will just follow the fish around and you will be able to net it without unhooking a board with a mean mud marlin runnin amuck. you dont have to play with your drag while fighting the fish either...which can get dicy
  18. i know these skaneateles trout and salmon you speak of personally and they seem to have an awe inspireing look, but chromeslayer cmon... that is a low blow. wanna see some dacks brookies?? chataqua to champlain, specializing in nothing, equiped for everything, we are ALL that is fishing. just ask us. we even know how to catch sheephead on command. we get all new york has to offer. accept kokanee...still trying.
  19. ray is always right. most fish caught though was on orange/chart icicle glow.
  20. big one right behind my house last year that the neighbor 20 gauged. Kirkville NY
  21. dont need to go out of state to shoot a big one. jsut need neighbors to cooperate with the big buck plan. this is a picture of a wild new york buck from a trail camera. this buck has not yet been seen in person by an actual human. cato new york
  22. r&r chart/orange icicle. looks like dreamweaver caremel dolphin for those of you who do not know of r&r products.
  23. last year my father shot a deer and as he was dressing the animal, a mature male coyote came in to the smell of guts. the whole time my father was moving and making noise while gutting, this coyote came 30 feet away, in plain sight, 15 mins after the deer was shot. totally suprised, my father will never leave his gun under the treestand even after the animal expires. nor will I. if his hunting buddy didnt arive after the shot, he may have had to defend his quarry agains the yote. we will never know because this coyote is 30-06ed. but watch them things. cant see em until they want you to see em.
