  2. Went on a Musky Joe charter Friday and Saturday on the Rideau River in Kemptville Ontario. We caught 6 Northern Pike, One tiger musky, One Walleye and had a real nice Musky right on the side of the boat before it broke the hook. In all great trip and had a good time with Musky Joe ! All fish were successfully released after a quick photo!
  3. Fished all three days, Thursday slept in a little later than normal. Got out and set up around 8 am north of the river in 140' had three releases with no one home then the rigged with green mountain dew flashed and green hammer fly takes off for Canada ran out 400' + could not gain anything for every 20 gained I lost another 80'. After 35 minutes of give and take a 30.48 lb king hit the deck! And that would be the only one landed and three days ! Sent from my ADR6350 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. The fish could have weighted 2 lbs! The smile on the little guys face is the real trophy
  5. yeah, I guess I should have stuck with spoons ran pretty much all stick baits, did run a hammered Sutton 44 for a while with nothing. What depth were you running in? Dave
  6. Sweet Browns! Nice Job "Gettin' Some", we couldn't get anything to go went west A-Frame to the high rocks, one small mouth and 3 little alewives <img title=":-(" class="bbc_emoticon" src="http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif" data-cke-saved-src="http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif" /><br /><br />Dave
  7. My wife tells me " It's not the size of the ride! It's the motion in the ocean LOL
  8. Didn't see it mentioned anywhere, (might have missed it) but just downloaded the new LOU phone app! Pretty awesome
  9. Nope no me, the Trophy I have now bought new in 2002 is the first Shelby Lynn for me, used to have a 19' stury II cuddy, named Tasmanian Devil (red & white).
  10. Yeah I like to fish Oneida, but I put in at Godfrey's Point, it can get pretty and steep launch.
  11. Thanks Scott, Good Luck on the eyes, I have some things to get done around around home this weekend. Dave
  12. I don't know about "Unwritten Rules", but the one I try to live by is treat other boats as you would hope they treat you. Not always the case though. If you ever fish in front of the Salmon River in the fall you will for surely have an incident or two . The googans will be out in full force then! Other than that time of year most everyone you fish along side of in Mexico Bay anyways will be curtious and helpful:) Dave
  13. Saturday- 4/27= Got out around 6:30 am headed west and set up in front of the A-Frame trolled past Catfish and the high rocks with nothing headed back east and hit one brown 13.5 lbs trolled back and forth until 2pm and then went in for some lunch, back out at 4:30 trolled west from the little Salmon past the Salmon river until 8:30 and never moved a rod. Had my son's girlfriend with us for the first time and she had fun reeling in the lakers Dave
  14. BHufnagle, I have a 21' Trophy walk around and I used the 24'' bags and could get down below 1mph with no problem, went with a new kicker this year and i wish I had done it long ago! Dave
  15. Scotty mini power grips, love them!
  16. The new thing I am trying this year is using a Tadpole Diver between the mainline and a 8' lenght of 10# fluro (leader) then I can run spoons off of the boards with and weights or knots. Had a good hit with one Sunday running a Sutton 44 off the boards.
  17. Nice job Fish Hunter, we stayed out til around noon had to be home early, but it was fun new kicker worked great, we stayed in front of the little Salmon did manage two hits but didn't stay on long. Hope this weekends weather is better. Dave
  18. Flurocarbon leaders make a big difference also, especially if your fishing outside the muddy water
  19. Just got mine in the mail last week great looking spoons! can't wait to get them wet!
  20. I run 1000' feet of Malin on 47lc's with no backing, just the tape as mentioned about with no problem. I run snubbers so then I can have the drags alittle tighter, but some people don't, which ever you prefer. But just like everyone has stated they are fun to have a 20-30 salmon just taking off, the feel you get of the power these fish really have is amazing! Have fun and hang on
