  1. If your into catching some Lake Trout try cowbells and peanuts or spin-n glows right off the bottom
  2. You'll love this one, last fall after fishing all morning came back into Mexico launch There wasthree boats waiting to get into the docks. This guy has an empty trailer parking in the center of the right hand side, so I'm thinking one of these three are going to drive on and away they will go. Nope all three go on the left side and I waited my turn and then went on the left side also. So after tying off I asked the kind gentlemen why he was parked in the center with no boataround well to my surprise he was waiting for his son to bring his boat down from the Salmon River and would be there in another 10-15 minutes !!!!! So I said it was command courtesy to not take up the docks until your boat is actually there! Well needless to say I was called every name that I've ever heard and couple I'd hadn't. And him being a little on the older side plus my wife yelling "Dave don't you do it" I just walked up and got the truck loaded the boat and was on my way, with the empty trailer still waiting in the launch " with the kind gentlemen still standing all teeth intact and calling me some more pleasant names!!!!!!!!
  3. My wife tells me our Salmon cost about 1000$/lb on our boat, so I should do a charter it would be cheaper
  4. "Combat Launching" got to laugh sometimes!
  5. Bought a few of these off Ebay, going to run them behind cow-bells
  6. In my opinion it is always the best time to fish the Lady, you can fish for browns early, lakers anytime and kings early in the west and later in east. But any day on Ontario is the best day!!!!!!!!!!
  7. We will be at Olcott so maybe we see you, are you up this weekend? Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. Just purchased 2500 yds for 50$ can't beat the price!
  12. I know someone is going to have a joke about this, but I went on a Musky charter in Canada last year and the charter captain used a little spot of "Preparation H" on his lures, he said that it is fish oil based and stays on in water!
  13. This might be something to think about, I purchased two suits for my sons for ice fishing! After they brought through a couple years ago. Like you said can't put a price on a life! I am not a kayaker so not sure if they would be to bulky. http://www.idigear.com/arcticarmor.php
  14. Same here, would run a line between North Dune and the Stack back and forth, stay between 100' and 120' as close to the bottom as possible and could always catch Lakers even on slow days. Cow Bells and Peanuts or Spin and glows and as Fins said even catch them on flasher/fly combos.
  15. Sure do! When the browns slow down and the Kings are out deep, I run them and the grandkids love catching them and letting them swim back out. I think they like holding them by the tail until they revive more than catching them
  16. Seems like pugsly would buy you a big cooler to keep them fish off the floor! Can't wait for spring!!!!!!
  17. Make sure you check them good for ticks, took my Beagle out two Sundays ago ran him for 2-3 hrs was fine, Monday was fine, Tuesday he started to limp and wouldn't put any weight on his front foot. Checked it over good thinking he had a thorn or briar in his foot found nothing, Tuesday pm had to carry him outside to go poddie and he wouldn't stand, after a quick trip to the vet, found out he had lyme disease. Pain kickers and anti-bios and doing great again. But the vet said he would have had to been bitten with in the last two weeks. I had always heard after it gets cold the ticks go dormant she said don't believe everything you hear. Took him out Sunday two rabbits and no ticks !
