  1. Went through the same issue with mine. Sent the unit back to HB and they told me it was my wiring. NO IT WAS NOT! They sent a new transducer and I loved my unit again. Two weeks later. JUNK. I contacted HB again, they told me their transducers dont go bad! I said I am telling you, it is weak and not working properly. They did nothing for me! NOTHING. Bought the unit brand new from them. I sold the unit on LOU for less than half what I paid. I get a email about two months after asking If I still had the unit because of a recall on the transducers... POOR customer service IMHO. I have nothing against them but I will never do business with again. Sorry for venting. I loved the unit when it worked. The colors, the accuracy.. But It all came down to the support I deserved and did not get.. Nick

  9. Well when it comes to bows and browns on other bodies of water .... It's almost the same but each body fishes different.. Bows I run faster speeds. Orange andvpurple spoons. Stretch your leads a bit more and fish stealthy running 2.0-2.5 mph and don't be afraid to zig sag they will hit that spoon when its going over 3 mph. Fish temps thermo 55-56 degrees. Browns fish a bit slower 1.5-2.0 fish darker spoons. A great producer is the frogs, and my favorite glow alwive by Michigan stinger. Fish these where the thermo meets bottom of the lake, usually 45-70. Fow sometimes deeper. This is what works for me. A nice trick with browns is too stack a fixed Cheater a few feet above your main release. Good luck. Nick [ Post made via Android ]

  17. No Problem Paul. I figured you had clients today. We were just out having a good time and the nasty weather held off. Glad ya got it figured out, the front for some reason made the fish want it slower... Recently I had been trolling about 2-2.5 ball speed... Today was 1.3-1.5
  18. Well, Friday, we were able to sneak out with the winter beater and do a trial on the motor and performance of the rig. It ran pretty good and even catches fish. We fished for about an hour and found some lakers, salmon and even a nice brown. Used two dipsys and two inline cores. Had to do it! I have never owned an outboard boat that was not a tiller motor. I kind of like it! Dislike loading an unloading a trailer however . I guess I grew to love a slip. Boat is a good ride and should get the job done. Here is a couple shots of the fish. The salmon was about 7#'s Saturday, I was able to get out on REEL STORIES and had Joe, Mike his boy Brandon and Bill along. We went out for a morning fish. It was not hot nor heavy but we plucked away at them. We hit a grand slam. A few of everything. Nothing big, mostly good eaters and smaller. Had a nice bow that we did C&R and another that couldn't make it. Never let anything go to waste! It was fun to be out and a nice way to start a perfect weekend on the water. Enjoyed a nice dinner with the girlfriend at the Village Bar & Grille and stayed for the band all night... Monday, Joe and Will and I set out about an hour before dawn. I wanted to get in on the brown action seeing we got one Friday night on a FF combo, I figured we could get some more if we targeted them. Fished the 55-75 shelf running dipsys and riggers. Had two cores on the outside over the deeper water. Didnt take long and got what we were hunting for. A beautiful brown to start the day! We continued on a north troll up the lake and fished this shelf the entire way. We hit Lakers, BROWNS, a bow, and salmon. GRAND SLAM! One of the lakers came from the warm waters of 57 degrees. Thought that was strange but he fought like a football brown so it was fun! I had a blast we trolled about ten miles north of watkins hitting those browns the entire way. Not sure if they have been there all season or if they are working their way towards the streams for the fall runs. They were all hefty and a nice C&R on all fish today. Here are a few shots of todays fish. Tight lines guys, Nick

  21. Cummins are nice. I love a red engine, but a cat you can't beat. See what gives ya the best coverage for warranty.. the caterpillar marine engines from what I've read are bulletproof. What model cat would it be? Cat has the best PM options.. [ Post made via Android ]
