    The run begins way before the trib temps get down to 45 degrees. As soon as the water temp hits 70 fish will be sniffing around.     I hung a new stand last week and noticed as I was hanging it that the tree right next to me that I was leaning on was covered in poison ivy. Next morning I woke up with poison ivy all over the left side of my neck and face. That’s always a fun time! Anyway, it’s going to be a nice set. Looking forward to the season.     If you want to catch pike, I would really recommend using something other than a senko. Spinnerbaits and chatterbait work well in white/chartreuse Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    We did a quick morning trip before work out of sandy this morning. Off the water by 9AM. Finished 8/10. We fished from 120 to 160, temp was down about 100. Had marks in the riggers all morning. Good luck tomorrow!

    Salmon and trout season off the piers will be here before everyone knows it. I am going to start taking orders early this year to get them out to everyone before the season starts. I will only be selling what I have left, and will not be ordering any new parts. I sold around 800 spinners last season, but will only be selling between 300 and 500 this season.     We always use 7’ medium weight fast action bait casting setups spooled with 20 braid and 15 to 20lb fluorocarbon leader about 7 to 10” long to the jig. The bait caster allows you to stay on your jig better
