  1. If you have the cash to throw down a planer mast and some double keel otter boat are a nice way to go. You can get them out there. I have a pro guide v 16 wt so no shoot copper for me. Plus you can run 2 600 off one side

Friday wasn't bad. Only hooked up with 12 cookie cutters. Got one screamer on the rigger. It snapped the leader while taking drag. So I went home last night and rigged 20 lb. floro leaders. Went out today, smashed on cookie cutters in the morning. Got way, way to the west and picked up 3 browns in the 6 to 8 lb range. Took 11-12 pounder. Made the turn at Shadigee and immediately hooked into 13-14 lb. brown. Popped a few cohoes. Then moved out to 20 ft. of water and hooked up with the first boated King of the year. The big brown killed one black and silver rapala and the king kill one to. It was my best day this year!! bright colors didnt do much. the hot spoons today where sea sick wads, dirty white boy ,and some mixed veggies. black and silver raps where key on the broads,and they took all the bigger fish. ran some thunder sticks not much there either. This slowed the bite and made the pick tougher. All the decent fish we caught were near the outlets of the oak and johnsons' creek and the decent fishing was following those flows. You could pick up fish in the clear water but they were far and few in between. Your biggest fish all hit the riggers. Here's some pictures. ====================
  10. I have fished out of the oak 3 time this year all. ON 3-6 we went west no luck. 3-12 went 7 for 8 with one 8 to 9 lber. 3-14 went 18 for 19 all cookie cutters. the water. we gone west to shadgee pt, and east to the flats. most of the water was green , but cold to the west. most of the browns are at the break wall and alittle to the east. the bigger fish still in the river. it is come on at the oak.

  12. Two lakers that went on a short boat ride with me. Sunday the 16 out by shadigee pt. One came on a mini white crushed glow spinny with an atommik green killer shred off the rigger down 8 back 50. Other on a J-11 black/gold off the boards.
