    What happened to NK? I just checked their website to try and find the names of those two spoons we were using and their selection is about 10% of what it used to be.

    Kind of a late report but may be worth something to someone. We fished Saturday morning in the 150 to 250 range off I-Bay and did not move a rod. Tried some different stuff throughout the morning, a lot of green/black and green/orange spoons but nothing turned the trick. Came in to 120-140 at the end of the morning and did 6 lakers on cowbells and F/Fs in about an hour or two and headed in. Sunday we started around 100 and fished a rigger 80-90 down, a rigger 50 down and two divers probably somewhere in between. Sea sick waddler, dirty white boy, and two UV NKs. I don't know the names of the NKs but one was a white with black mag and the other was a green and yellow 28 with a white back. We parked the rigger with the green and yellow NK at 49 deg all day and it was the workhorse. It started with a 4-5 lb brown, then a 13 lb king, then 2 skippy kings and a skippy steelie and finished with a mature king that we lost after it put on quite a show behind the boat. The white and black NK took a 10lb laker on the other rigger at the end around 110 down. All of the fish except the laker and brown came in 220 fow 88 feet down. I'm not sure if it was the spoon or the temp on the 88 feet down but that was the hot set up.

    Very similar around I-Bay. 100fow and 80 or so down is the first place I usually start for browns this time of year. Same as above. spoons. I am particular to the NKs but I am sure they would all work. I haven't really fished the browns all year and yesterday we roughly went by this and we hit a couple right off. Good luck!

    Haven't fished since the SCS so we finally got out again last night. It was a little choppy so we dropped the lines in 75 fow looking for some brownie and steelie action. About 10 minutes in we picked up a decent brown on a diver with a green and black Moonshine down near the bottom. Kept working out to about 120 as our deepest. Picked up a small brown on a 42nd spoon on a rigger down about 85. I was given the honor of the day's only mud chicken. Ended up with a nice steelie to finish 4 for 4. Not a bad night for a quick two hour run. The waves started picking up enough to make things too much work to stay out. On a good note, except for the wire lines we had next to no fleas. Looking forward to a weekend of fishing east winds or not.

    I noticed rule #14 states that "each participant, by paying the entry fee....". Is the $50 entry per boat or per person? Probably a dumb question, I know.

    I am looking for indoor winter storage for my 24' Thompson hardtop. Preferably something towards the Wayne county area but not required. I would also like something that allows me to get the boat back out of storage by late March if needed. Thanks

    We got the lines in at around 5:30 again. Started in 150 fow and worked out to 380 fow. Picked up a small king on a Finger Lakes Tackle SSW 90 down over 340 fow. A while later it was a 5lb coho on an NK DWB 100 down over 240 fow. What action there was stopped so we moved into 130 to 160 fow and put down the cow bells. We did 4 lakers, the biggest going about 10 lbs, and called it a day. Seems like we should have stuck closer to the pack today. Everything was on riggers. We're off to the Sandy Creek Shootout next weekend to try and not come in last again.

    Nice day of fishing! We got lucky, our guy who partied too much last night emailed me at 2am with a "you won't see me today" message. It took all the guess work out of it.

    Set them down at 5:30am in 140 fow and worked out to 260 fow. Pretty much kept the riggers between 75 and 115 all day except on the way in we went deeper looking for laker action. Also ran 2 divers and eventually 300' of copper. Did not move a rod until about 8:00 when the rigger at 100' over 220 fow with a 42nd spoon took a 10 lb king. It was actually a doped up NK green thunder that looks a lot like a 42nd spoon. It took another hour or so and we picked up a 6 to 7 lb laker on the same set up just a little shallower. Did not do another fish until we started pulling the lines at 11:30 or so and found a 7-8 lb laker had been hitching a ride for awhile on a spiny and an ITO mag fly. No idea how long he had been there. Also ran DWB, mag money, watermelon, green evil eye mag and mag carbon 14 but none produced. 3 for 3 on the day with a 42nd look alike doing 2 of them, all on riggers. Back at it tomorrow.

    Started dropping lines around 6pm in 190 fow. White paddle green fly on rigger 90 down, DWB on rigger 115 down with an NK UV mag slider, orange, green and silver Silver Horde on diver 160' back, and a DW blue dolphin on a diver 190 back. Worked out to 280 fow and back in again. Temps were all over the place. Had to get out to 215 to get anything under 56 deg. at our depths. We only managed one skippy on the DWB and one miss on the silver horde. Around 215 to 230 fow though we had a lot of big marks following the paddle/fly set up but no takers. Not a bad night for a boat ride I guess, better than cleaning the gutters.

    Was your boat at a marina in the water or at your home? I only ask because I got hit a couple of years ago while my boat was in the water. I was one of dozens from different marinas to get stuff stolen. If someone is hitting up the marinas again I'd like to know. Thanks.

    7/12 Went out at 5 and caught a great sunrise. Straight out to 170 and set up 2 riggers, two wires and two lead cores. Slowly worked out to 250. By 7:30 we were three for three on skippys. One was so small I thought it was an alewive at first. Finally picked up a 7# king on an NK dirty white boy. Two of the skippys came on a green, silver and orange Silver Horde. Lost one on the DWB. We were fishing the riggers at anywhere between 80 and 120. Just tried to keep them in the temp around 44 or 45 deg. Missed a couple of hits on the lead core and had a lead core and wire diver go simultaneously at one point but no one home on either one. They weren't tangled when they came in. Who knows? Called it a day at 11 when the fuel gauge started making me nervous.. 7/13 Headed out at 5 again and set up a little shallower to start around 120. Only ran 2 riggers and two wire divers all day. Around 140 fow right on the bottom we picked up a 13# laker on a black and fire tiger Poonie. Kept heading out and at 215 fow about 85 down we did a 15.6 # king on DWB. Circled back around slowly and did a 17.5 # king on a Williams HQ spoon, red, silver and blue, almost on top of our last GPS mark on the wire diver. Diver was a #5 Chinook diver set at four 190' back. Managed another laker, about 6 or 7 lbs by 7:45 or so. Spent an hour and a half moving between 200 and 250. Marks but no takers. Weather started to really pick up we and headed in at 9:15. That was a fun ride in. Got back into I-Bay at around 10 or 10:15 and set up for some warm water fishing. I lost what fought like a big Sheepie. Larry picked up a 20" Walleye and Gina a nice largemouth. We then really took it to the Silver Bass, taking five or six 4 ouncers on riggers and stick baits. Having a hard time getting pictures off of my phone. Here's a few including our Silver Bass double.
