  1. Yes, That was me. I have a black Ranger 621. I agree on the confidence baits for sure. I was wondering about your kicker motor. I have a 9.9 prokicker and it almost runs at full throttle to push my boat at 4.5 to 5 in a little wind. Was thinking about upgrading to a bigger kicker because I find myself trolling with the big engine. What HP is your kicker? Anyone else trolling for musky in a 621? What size kicker are you using? I don't thing the 9.9 is enough for high speed musky fishing out of a 621
  2. Adam I saw you running on plane early in the day on Sunday. You got a very nice fish congratulations. We got five on Sunday and lost one other half way to the boat. Nothing huge. Biggest was 41. All fish were nice, fat and healthy. Any chance you could share a photo of that " Magic Wiley"? All our fish on Sunday and the prior week came on shad style baits. Keep running the fat bodies but don't seem to catch as many fish but I know they work for others.
  3. Larry, I know. I was only kidding.
  4. Yes and if you don't mind copy me too. Please include GPS coordinates as well
  5. Thanks for the info. I like the offshores as well. I also bought some new Scotty releases that I kinda like too. They have dual tension settings that can be set tight for musky and lighter for walleye and brown trout etc. I agree with Ivan on the Tx44s. I have had issues where they cut the braided line at the back of the board. Also the plastic pins snap off. A friend made me new stainless pins that won't break off and havnt cut the line either. Had a problem at St Clair last month when my snap swivel on my big board snapped open. Any ideas for a really strong reliable snaps for the end of the two line? I am using the amish boards and the really heavy (800 lb i think) tow line. It can get really expensive if the board comes off and you lose all those expensive clips. I am headed by to St Clair next week and I want to replace the tow line snaps.
  6. A related question. What release method do you guys prefer?
  7. Would love to see the photos. That has to be a hog.
  8. Also, I only use the offshore boards with upgraded front clips. They are dependable and pull plenty hard enough for me. I actually pull some smaller musky baits and they work just fine.
  9. Has anyone had problems with the black plastic pins on the back of the board breaking? Every time I use them the pins just break. I think they are crap and won't buy them again for that reason. once the pin breaks they are useless until you replace the pin.
  10. seriously? California. I guess it could be located in alaska.
  11. Are you going to be at the Muskie Max show? What are the dimensions on these boards? May be interested in a set.
  12. I am still puzzled as to what this does. Is it essentially a hand lining reel?
  13. If your choice is the house or the boat...................you should probably choose the house.............unless of course its a house boat. Only you can make the call on your finances. Nice that you have buddies with rigs. It is true that it would probably be more expensive to replace it later than keep it now. It all a mute point if you need the cash.
  14. Thanks Joe, This is going to make some fisherman very happy this coming spring. The only reason I'm selling is because I bought a new Ranger 621. I'll miss this boat but I'll have lots of fond memories.
  15. Thanks Chas I just need to know what lures you use to catch those hogs your holding in the photos
  16. How can you tell the old ones from the new ones? What is the difference? The two on the left oof photo have storm printed on the bill. The two on the right have storm printed on the underbelly

  18. I just bought a Big Jon planer from this sight a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I ordered the seat base from Riviera that matches the Big Jon (1.5" diameter and my new Ranger 621 seat base)
  19. Will you ship to Pa for that price?
  20. Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback and guidance.
  21. I know this maybe a dumb question but here we go. When using dodgers for lakers, what end of the dodger (end with quick connect or end without quick connect) is connected to the main line?

  23. There is a guy on Ohio GameFish .com looking for one of these
