That’s awesome! Bet he gave you a battle once he got close to the boat. Big browns are warriors for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Pretty simple. 10-30 feet of water will hold fish. Stay away from gin clear water. If you fish the downwind side of any river or tributary there should be a muddy plume. Troll the edges of that plume (spelling?). Stick baits or weighted spoons back 80-100 should produce. If you’re running two rods try to have one run a third down the water column, the other two thirds down. Try to keep your speed between two and two and a half miles per hour. Should you get a calm day you stand an excellent chance of being successful. Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Seems like at some points the Toms pay little attention to calls and decoys and then it’s like someone flipped a switch and they come in on a string. After guiding a youth and his sister on birds my son Tommy has hunted three days straight without having a Tom in range. I’ve been out with my bow quite a bit with zero results to show for it. Just have to spend what time you have and it will come together. Ironically there are two hens and a big Tom in the backyard right now as I drink a beer at my counter lol. Things stay slow that Tom may lose his pass, he looks like a good bird but I do like watching him. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Great job Smat! Fish are stacked in 35 half mile east of the bay today. 6 for 8 solo from 10 to 1. Four browns and two kings. Great looking screen!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Great stuff all! My son Tommy put his sister on birds this morning, got her a bird and headed back out. Slow so far for me this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Getting close for us grownups! Going to be a lot more people hunting this year. Lots of birds around, at least where I live. Good luck all, looking forward to reading posts and seeing pics. Hoping to post a few myself. With four people in my house hunting this May the odds look pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
