The deer has not been touched, either has the gut pile next to it.
Found another road kill today so now there are two deer and a pile.
Just a matter of time!

Get up to take a leak, shine the light and take a look. Even without the motion detector we should have it covered between me and my boys.
Good chance that deer may get dragged away, it's not very big.

Face book doesn't exist in my house and I have three kids in college. It's never been in my house. Same deal with video games. Was never a rule against either, just never came in the door. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I only use roadkill for bait. For me it wouldn't be right to shoot them and not eat them, that's what the coyotes and fox are for.
Motion detector doesn't seem to be working , just ordered another one.
17hmr for fox
204 for the yotes.

Paul,
Believe it or not I use a flashlight, with white light. Used to use an expensive lightforce light but it died and wasn't worth the money. I'd have to look at the light I use now to tell you what it is but its just a good quality flashlight. When we hit them with the light we shine it above them and bring the beam down and that seems to make a difference. I would say about half run off but they usually come back and eventually get shot. Some don't seem to care at all. Its only 120 yards from the window to the pile but the red and green don't shine as bright and the critters seem to run from them just as often. With snow on the ground I often don't even shine the light, can usually see ok through the scope.
