  1. those are a lot better, but silver fox is talking about just the lead insert, no new baseplate with these.
  2. is that the one with the 7oz weight in a baseplate with the ring?
  3. Had the same problem with mine. The 4 oz weights fit like shi^. I had a few sets, one of them I was able to pound in with a hammer. It won't be coming out ever. Another is so mishapen it won't work unless I grind it down.
  4. pm sent
  5. Brand New spool of #30 and the rest of a #20 spool. Enough to splice in.
  6. SOLD
  7. sold pending payment
  8. I am thinking of getting some of these for my cannon mag 10 stx's. Anyone using the newer style locks? I am paranoid about my riggers getting stolen so I have always pulled the riggers and taken them home with me after a day of fishing. But that is a real PITA and can't be good for the plugs they rip out hard. Just wondering if they are worth getting at $30 a pop and if they really deter theft.
  9. local pickup only please. not sold yet
  10. still for sale
  11. Port Side, got this when I first started few years ago. Used it twice I think. Pickup just outside of Brewerton.
  12. Used for one season tx-44. works fine, but have the big boards now. setup right now as starboard side but can be reversed. have pulled 400 copper with this and 10 color with a dive bomb as well. Pickup just outside of Brewerton
  13. im using convectors they are pretty nice. have used daiwa 47s but the handle is too wimpy in my opinion.... however you can upgrade and get a more heavy duty one from tuna toms. new CV30D's are $65 + wire $40-$45 + 10' okuma dipsy diver rod $35. $140 total for setup or saltist alone $150-$180
  14. fishhbt's picture for the convector looks different than other sites. that an old style or new?
  15. doesn't buy it now dissapear once the first bid is placed?
  16. loop. my question is how much difference does 50 flouro vs 50 mono make? i know the flouro is stiffer and some say better whip with the fly but it seems like after every fish there is a fray in it and time to change it out.... $$
  17. i have heard of this but never done it. so you already have the pike ball in the water? or u clip it on fast on let it fly? and if you're shallow couldn't the copper sink as you drop it back and snag bottom?
  18. My vote is 400 took a lot of hits this year, and worked better down the chute than off the boards for me. I fish east end Mexico bay. Just get ready to reel it in a LOT if your fishing it down the chute. Diver or rigger goes off you better start ripping that copper in
  19. you do this until the fleas show up and then go to heavier line?
  20. nice. I think they have 4oz add on weights on their website. I also wondered about the wire/twilli on the mono splice. That sounds like an expensive tackle loss right there.
  21. 400 copper down the chute is $. I caught more fish down the chute with it than off the boards (a lot more), not sure why.
  22. Anyone using mason downrigger cable? Just picked up a 300ft spool pretty cheap ($26) to replace a short cable (100 ft after a bad section was cut out) and wondering if its any good.
  23. 8" spin doctors and pro trolls with a-tom-miks slay salmon
