  1. Thanks guys . I kinda wished we got the first one but it happens... I made me a bunch of sliders for this weekend lol. Boy that is a big kype jaw....Like I said that boat seems to draw fish to it..... Weather looks great for this weekend. Im gonna hit it tomorrow afternoon. Im starting at 30fow and working out this time....
  2. Well last night me and captn Bill of "positive thinkin" took off for an evening run. He wanted to go deep, I wanted to stay in close lol. He says I am going too fast, I say im not going fast enough lol. He says I should head east, I say west lol. Total communication breakdown lol.. We basically started at 150 worked out passed 200. We used my combo of spoons and sliders so we could have multiple depths. I kept seeing big schools of fish down past 100 so I dropped my line down to 60. As we moved in closer towards 80 feet I saw even more on the bottom. Then it hit. when I picked up the rod something wasnt right. It was a fish but was not fighting like normal. Come to find out we had two fish on the line, one on the main the other on a slider. You can see at 1.25 on the vid how the rod pops up(you can see me quickly look up) and I see it take off only to find there was another brown on the slider lol... We were only out about an hour or so. But it should be a great weekend for everyone who goes. Lake is fine. FIsh at 150+ and still in close between 30 and 60....So take your pick and go get em lol
  3. Yea it was a great day for sure. I went out deep then kept doing a zig zag pattern working back in close lol. I came across a bunch of old marks (basically second bluff) so I played around there abit...Im gonna try for tomorrow night and go back to that 30 ft range and have at it.Ive been staying on 68 its always been a good channel for the area. Lol ...I dont really like those net releases. Its just another thing to deal with lol. Netting is a skill though and basically just remain calm and once its close enough just get it out of the water and into the boat... But yea should be a great weekend good luck everyone...
  4. Hey what a great weekend get out if you already have not lol. Welp the last few days have been the did's and the didnt's lol. I went out deep (200 fow) with a few others looking for kings and it was hit and miss, I missed lol. Although some did catch steelheads on top. There is also great fishing for browns, kings and steelheads in 30 fow particularly east toward the second and third bluffs. Some nice kings were brought in from that area. Also spoke with someone who bought the old "rustic" boat. They boated a big steelhead (36 inches) just outside oswego.. in 30 fow... So basically 30fow or 150-20o fow, take your pick temps in both areas... Im going back at it tomorrow am, should be a good week...
  5. Very slow lol. we didnt move a rod yesterday. Only a few fish came in for the day. A few steelheads and a small king and a couple of browns. Looks like transition time is right on que lol. Lets see what today brings. It is much nicer weather so at least get out and enjoy it...
  6. It never calmed down but its nice now. Forecast looks good for the rest of the weekend. First thing in the am...

  8. Hey weather looks great should be fun fishin for sure. Im hoping to go in the am and figure it out but hopefully we all do good this weekend. Still plenty of kings and browns in close so lets go get em lol
  9. Boy that NW Wind kicked up some nice 2+ footers this am. We went out around the east side of the chute for a couple of hours and gave up. Others did and are doing the same. Were gonna see if she calms maybe an afternoon run. but you can get inside the corner where it does show the fish we just didnt get any movement....except for whats in our bellys lol
  10. Well the system is blowing thru so lets see what the rain brings lol. Weather looks good this weekend. cu guys on the water
  11. Thanks guys it was a fun fight. Ive had this old rebel Jointed perch a big one thats a great flat line lure. You put that baby back a good 200 plus feet and she will do the rest. I just put it on before it hit. But the fishin is good. I dont know what todays wind does but yesterday the mud line was just around the chute and thats where it hit....
  12. Well after last nights awesome lightening display and winds shifting and dying off I figure this am would be a good shot. Basically my story is I worked right around the chute it was loaded. As a neighbor boat passed me he asked how I was doing, as I replied "a big fat zero but only been out about an hour" I look back and dropped the mic lol. I could tell it was a size-able fish the way the line screamed. I ruled out a laker because it kept fighting, figured maybe a steelhead but it wasn't jumping. Whatever it was certainly met its match once it decided my huge rebel jointed perch was its meal lol..Fun fight, took a while but I got it done.. Others came in with some nice browns. East or West it doesn't matter, don't be bashful past 15. Hopefully we can all get out tomorrow...
  13. Lol well it does look like rain rain rain the rest of the week. But that changes daily up here lol. Check the noaa around wednesday that will have a clearer view of the weekend.
  14. If it hasnt killed me yet it wont by now lol..But honestly the smaller ones taste better lol... FIshin is still great. Todays bite was early so for those that got out by 6 you did well. If your like me who stayed in and got out after 9 all you got was a good view lol...I stayed out for a few hours went east then west. Good shakedown run. There were some nice ones at the station today. Some close to 10 lbs...
  15. Well no fishin today but hopefully she dies down enough for us to get out...we shall see. Today they stocked our area with the salmon and steelies from the fish hatchery. They will keep the cages here for about 3 weeks and let em go... Fishin is right off shore..Lets go get em lol
  16. Lol yea....and ive been doing nothing but waiting and waiting and waiting.....I should be in sometime this week lol...btw....be patient with your local marinas, they are behind because of the ice and yea everyone wants in but just think three weeks ago some were thinking June...so be it lol... One thing I noticed the water level is real good, came up quick. Barndog stop down anytime ill leave the fire on for ya lol...
  17. Well the ice is surely gone and the fishing is a great start. Heres some boys that went out this am. You should be fine for the weekend. We start this week once they dump her in the water. Thinking Tuesday... But hey...everyone made it thru Winter and we beat the ice out so have at it. Enjoy!
  18. Lol not today a little snowy...but boy if anyone got out that would be neat hookin browns in the snow lol...Supposed to get freezing tonight and tomorrow but after that game on lol
  19. Heres the deal. Yesterday there was ice at the east side of the bay. The state park still had ice around it so you cant put your boat in there. The only access was at the two village launches. Once you got out to the bay the coast was clear. The lake is fine. Great mud line im sure the browns are there. I would like to suggest that you can fish today but be careful. you should all be good to go by the end of today lol.
  20. The bay is still frozen, here is this mornings view from my place, but it is getting there. It is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow and the temps are mostly above freezing for the week. Only a couple of days below average so I can see it disapating at a steady pace... For those coming toward the mid end of April id say it might be ok......until it really gets out of our way safely were all kinda trapped right now lol... Lets see what this week brings...its getting there.....stay tuned lol
  21. Lol here this outta make us feel a little better. this is from this am. were getting there, rain will help too..
