  1. And today is no better wave wise lol. She is crankin! good day to watch nfl lol. But there is still plenty of fishin to go.
  2. Slow today lol. Nice rollers on the lake. Some at 4 ft but very smooth. Coming from all directions too...Reports consisted of lots of hits and off which is common this time of year. There are fish in close around 70 and out in 200 but realistically it was slow only a few fish caught . I wanted to chart the hole which i normally do this time of year so we fished it this afternoon. The place is getting busy, Marked alot of fish but we didnt move anything. Only played around for about a good hour and now that I have it plotted I can work it later this week after the front passes. Once they start packin in heavy we like to go a them with these ... Well see what happens lol
  3. Spotty thats what it was lol. Welp basically the fish are anywhere from 80 to 200 fow. They are turning black and big and they should be jumping around here really soon. Some went ouit and got 0, others came in with a few nice ones. Now that September is here the fun can really start up. The lake will boil up tonight and thru wednesday then she settles down. A few cold nights and we should really be in good shape...
  4. Aww man all ive been doing since the state fair started is ****ing lol. People have been saying to me :wouldnt you rather hang out with Lynard Skynard, Styx, Toby Keith etc... I tell em nope I wanna go fishin lol..... Funny thing is I almost had the whole Lynard Skynard band go fishing out of bayside marina Tuesday but they had to get on the road. Some of them have actually charted out on LO.,,very avid fisherman they are.... I definitely plan on being at the bayside marina party on Sunday and will fish sunday and monday so Ill see you guys then. Fishin has been great so we should all be in good shape.. see everyone on the water Sunday!
  5. Thats awesome! And here it was just a couple of weeks ago some clown comes in this forum and makes the statement "tournaments should be for the bigger boats"... Thats the nice thing about Fair Haven. We help everyone! We want everyone to have success! Its all fun no matter how you slice it in our neck of the woods. Congrats!
  6. Thanks lol I wish I could go jiggy it today but unfortunately I have to head to the 1000 Islands to drop off the best boat cleaner in the industry lol....(thats a very bias statement btw but is supported by many others lol) Ohh well at least im on the water lol
  7. Reminds me of when I was a kid out there in my 12 footer and two cannon mini trolls lol. In fair haven we have a place we call "the hole" and back then you would have (particularly this time of year) packs of boats in a very tight area. Obviously chartering wasnt that big back then but none the less you still had attitudes out on the lake. Just shrugg it off really. Dont sweat it. Its not worth getting worked up over those types of people. My dad used to have a saying lol..."thats what your middle finger is for" lol
  8. Its been the same. waaaaay down and out deeeeep lol. But a front moves in tomorrow and lets see if that changes anything. Good luck to everyone who enters the fair haven challenge this weekend. weather wise it should be perfect and so should the fishing...
  9. Lol yea for sure mikey lol. Ill be up sometime during the weekend. I have some stage work to do at the state fair starting Thursday. I bailed out on carley rae Jepsen and reba so I could fish lol so I know I have friday and saturday off. I heard you did great, you hit it right thats for sure. see u this weekend
  10. It was unique for sure. The fish are waaaaayyyyyyy out deep. Temp is at ridiculous levels and really as much as fish came in, it was a long day for many. Many of the fish came during the mid part of the day between 11 and 2pm which for those who went out early it was a gas burner...That is common this time of year particularly as the fish do their pre school dance. Saturday night was the perfect setup for a "jiggy"...Whats that??? lol. Welp its when conditions are right usually in the afternoon/evening, you go out to your favorite old marks, put em down, find it, catch it and come back....all within a two hour total trip period lol... So Saturday night I said to my neighbors...." lets go Jiggy"..So we headed out to deep water, set the lines on some old marks, had it on in 20 minutes, Was it a big king...hell yea, did it take 20 minutes to bring in?? Yup Total jiggy time....1 hour 45 minutes..
  11. Lol well this weekend was a "tony the tiger" weekend,,,GRRRRRREAT!!! The good news, fish were on everything from spoons to dipsy's etc. The bad news....you had to go at least to 300 to find them. Some did well out in the 600 fow range. Temp was weird. We were at 286 , 100plus down and it was 71 lol. But it didnt matter because once you hit the fish there they were. Today was different, after a glass night watching the sunset she boiled up abit (as it always does) fishing slowed down today which is normal after a good feed this time of year. I think the Fair Haven Challenge next weekend should be good fishin. It would be nice to see them come in a little bit. We' ll see.. Ill have a vid up soon. We went out Saturday night. I figured it was going to be a quick night for a fish because it cools down real fast up here now and they do hit well at a certain time.
  12. Shes a blowin today lol. But the good news is she calms down for the weekend. Fishin in great! Go get em lol. I have to go to the Norwich Blues fest and work some bands tomorrow. Ill be playin in around 175 fow saturday for sure.
  13. Thanks lol. Ive always said its all in the music lol. But yea you should be in good shape if its like any other year this time frame. Typically end of Aug to mid Sept is really good. It does seem like Fall is approaching quickly now. The vegetation in the bay is getting lighter (by color) and I see things like confused bees and geese forming "V",s already. But regardless fishing should be alright lol. Were gonna head back out on Wednesday and keep tabs on em. Heres a shot of the Time Flyes crew. Most of the fish are in the ranges of low to mid 20's . Mark on the left is holding a 28lb which have been the bigger size of the litter.
  14. Lol well thank you Angus for letting me use your music lol. Its as simple as this, when you get doubles......its a long way to the top lol..
  15. Well after a Saturday where NOBODY should have been on that lake, Sunday proved to be the day. What I have learned over the years is when you have a NW consistent wind that really stirs up the lake as it did on Saturday and then the winds shift overnight to SW and slow down, you get a perfect setup and chop for awesome fishing. Welp for those that went out on Sunday you know what I mean. It was a great day! We went out a little later than most, setup out at 125 and hooked up a double about an hour later. At that point we were in 175 fow. After the double we hit another king. Many others out there had the same fortune. I did notice the fish are starting to darken, thats a good sign because we should have good feeding going on for the next three weeks and you will see the fish coming in even closer before the run starts. I should have the video of the doubles posted soon. Im just hoping to get copyright clearance from ACDC lol....But it was a great weekend. It did seem to slow down this am as I heard on the radio. Makes sense because if they really fed heavy as they did yesterday (keep in mind these bad boys are just starting to think spawn) it would make sense today is slower. A front moves in tomorrow and she may kick up but for sure fishin is on as it should be and you all should enjoy a great time on the water.
  16. Well the front moved thru and we should have good fishin tomorrow. I should be out there by 8. good luck everyone !
  17. Those are nice fish. Well here is what it was all about this weekend lol People can sugar coat it all they want but this weekend the lake was naaasty! lol. That wind was a steady 15. It just started to calm down now. Tomorrow should be fishable but it will still be bouncy... But the good news is the fish are no farther than 200. Im going to go out tuesday once she really calms down..
  18. Ohh it is...Now that im back its windy lol. very. so looks like tomorrow am should be just fine. Winds should die down by morning. I dont even know where to start lol...Im gonna try 150 second bluff lol
  19. Lol actually I just got home. Ive been doing some stagehand work for the past two weeks. Been working with about 25 bands over the timeframe lol. Ive been reading reports, looks like the salmon are on. Ill be back in the boat Thursday gettin back on the lake. Hopefully everyone who has gone out has hooked up. Ill post what happens for sure.
  20. Hey bob lol...Let me know when you guys are planning on going. I can get you parked at either brightbeck park backstage or east park backstage no biggie. I can meet you at the McDonalds and bring you in from there. They block it off but I have all access driving pass so I can get to ground zero.
