  1. This will be my first year running big boards and I have read a few times now of people having them flip over on them.... What causes this? What is the action that should be taken?
  2. Biggest King of my little boat last year
  3. What about a little pully from a sailing supply store. Saw some at the boat show looked inexpensive and strong enough
  4. I just built a pair of these boards they look the part, can't wait to give them a go this spring.
  5. Why is it that copper seems to be more productive down the chute then off the boards? I just got a setup and will be useing it for the first time this year...
  6. I think that's where all the atlanics are...
  7. Three years ago I bought a 165 fishhawk crestliner. Great little boat but I found 99 percent of the fishing I was doing was on lake Ontario. I just traded it in the fall on a 22 foot seapro. Found that it was to small and limiting for big lake fishing.
  8. Thanks all I just ordered a pair!
  9. I was just reading on the website that they don't recomend useing a flasher or spin doctor with the shark weights. They say that they will compete fo the fishes attention to much. Does anyone use them to run attractors or do you have a different cannonball setup for flashers and spin doctors?
  10. New to me this fall! have not even fished of her yet... Still getting all the gear needed and can not wait for spring
  11. I am intrested I just have to talk to my friend at work tomorrow see if he can go get it he is a lot closer then I am. He is in fort eire.
  12. This is a piture of the layout I used for my old 16' crestliner when I redid the floor. Worked well for mounting riggers and I am staning on a little bow platform that I mounted rod holders to and ran inline boards off. I coated the floor with a durabake roll on liner had great grip and durability. But was hard to clean and was rough on your skin. Have fun and good luck
  13. The fishing west of toronto has been very slow. Worst run I have seen in 5 years... I know that east of the city has seen some good numbers.
  14. Looks like I found a kicker thanks all
  15. Thank you... That is a little bit over budget but I will let you know if something changes.
  16. I just purchased a new boat a Sea Pro 220. I am looking to add a kicker motor needs to be a long shaft four stroke would be prefered. I do not need a brand new one and my budget is a little tight max would be 1500. If there is anything out their let me know what you have. Thanks you I am not in a huge rush won't be hitting the water till the spring in my new ride. Email me [email protected] I am located in Ontario, Canada and I am willing to drive to the falls but don't have a passport
  17. Thank you for the information very helpfull. I think that I have found a boat and am going to give it a good once over. I know any used purchase is a risk but hopefully they will be reduced with knowledge.
  18. I was out on saturday got a nice king 130. Feet of water. 30 feet down purple and black nasty boy. As far as I know you could go heavier on your fly lead I was told that 50 or 70 gave the fly a better kick and it is alsoo a little more cut resistant. Good luck

    title?

Is there a way to check the title of the boat or registation number to see if the boat was a salvage or if it has been damaged like you can for a car? Any help would be greatly appreciated
  20. From previous experience salt water boats are best left alone. But I am wondering if that is just issolated to a bad boat purchase from florida. I am wondering if there are specific things that need to be checked before a salt water boat would be purchased. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
