  1. The weights are tight. I will look into this Saturday. First time I came out at the beginning of the year, when I only had one, I had it backwards ^_^ Lol
  2. By saying "staying to the back" I meant the run parallel to each other.
  3. Just kidding, but I'm having problems with them. Both of rods are pointed towards back of boat at 45 degree angles. Both.seem to stay to the back or sometimes they will wonder off to one side (current?). Both have snubbers, and that happens with around 150-170 ft of line. One is about 5" the other one is about 3". Both are set to 2.5-3. Any ideas why?
  4. Looks professional: ) did you test it out yet?
  5. Yup, last time out I saw a log about 10ft long and 15" thick plus a lot of branches Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Hmmm.... honestly, if this was my motor I would probably just drill a small hole in the handle. I can't see any other spots where it would mount. Unless somewhere underneath the throttle where it connects to the motor?
  7. take a picture of that motor and post it here, we will find you a spot Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Besides that my boat is identical, including the trailer guides:)
  9. sorry guys but that photo of a boat with four seats is a dealer photo. My boat has a 50HP 2 stroke motor.
  10. I have a 16 foot Crestliner with a 50HP mercury with side console. It does not have a built in gas tank. I have found an another one for sale for 2000$-theft recovery. It was stripped to the floors. basicaly it is just a hull and a trailer. Is it worth my time to change over everything? beam on mine is 75, the other one is 91 length 16.6, 17.2 Deadrise 6, other 12 Transom is both 20" crestliners web site states 24gal fuel capacity, so im assuming the tank is built in which would be a great advantage. How much time would i need to switch everything over? engine, steering, console, electrics? My boat The other boat.
  11. It would be nice if people would reply after finding out what was wrong, others with similar issues would benefit from it. Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Just checked the boat and my battery is a starting battery. I assumed it was deep cycle because it says "marine" on it. Silly me Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. A tomik flies, spoons or both with SDs. Make sure u use 30+ lb line and u have a flexible/long rod. You also should have an elastic/rubber piece with snaps on both ends between your rod's line and the dipsy(forgot what its called). It relieves stress on stuff when fish hit. Small dipsys will take you to about 30-40ft depending on your trolling speed and length if line, big ones will do about 60-70. For big ones 40+ lb line would be recommended. Also make sure your rod mounts are solid, if they are not you will loose a part of your boat and yoyr equipment. Hth Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. wouldn't it matter how wide the throttle was open??? Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Set them up in parallel and you will be fine, for both electronics and electric downriggers, trolling - different scenario. I have a deep cycle batt for starting main. I also have a 55aH battery that my kicker charges when trolling, I use it for my radio, ff, lighting(led). I also have a one foot jumper cable in case my main quits. Starts my 50hp no problem Sent from my Lenovo P770 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
