    when i saw how deep the temp. was i slid back in to try for some lakers,i had three newbies on the boat and wanted them to get something.when i couldnt get them to hit i slid back out to 150 and got that 27lber,wish i would have stayed out there and didnt waste two hours inside!!!oh well,still learning!!!

    fished from 6-12 between the dunes from 110-150.riggers down 150 and 130..all the cable i had.temp70 down 130.had a double header on riggers in 149 fow.landed one lost the other.27lber.green dot bikini with green fly and mountain dew/chrome and green/blue fly.

    i fished friday from 8 to 2.0 for two.one on dipsey and one on rigger.dipsy was a bull frog spin doctor and the rigger was a 11" paddle and meat.had mw dad and brother out so i stayed in the 120-130 range so i could put them on some lakers,they never have cought any thing bigger than perch and bass,so 10-15 pound lakers really got them excited.wish i could have got them a salmon.sat i observed for the attomic so i was in oswego,fished sunday from 8-2 and only had one release and a laker.did mark some fish and bait.sounded like guys did get them early in the morning.i was in between the dunes.be back at it friday and saturday.

    i have a 22 foot walkaround outboard and get through,they just put buoys out last week and dredged the channel,it is shallow,but doable this year cause water is high,from what i hear its a year to year thing.

    ill b there and have all the bells and whistles,last year was my first year fishing,so im new to it,but have learned alot from this web site.i will help in any way i can,just like everyone has helped me.i scan the channels,but if enough people get together,i will stay on one channel.let me know...gota go,heading to the lake!!!i will give a report sunday night when i get back.

    ill be fishing the dunes/mexico bay this weekend,ill post sunday nite when i get home.adk 1,i should be up there next friday also,always nice to have someone to work with out there if you want.

    fished from 7- 1 today,went 1 for 4,18 lb king.fished 100ft-150ft.140 ft of water down 110 seemed to be the sweet spot,cold water down deep.1 rip on dipsy with spin doctor.all others were on e-chips mountain dew with chrome back and blue/green fly.

    i have an 8 horse johnson and thats what figured,but i thought maybe someone has come up with something that might work.guess ill have to look for a four stroke this winter.

    fished the north dune,120-130.picked up one laker and lost two,slid into 80 ft to try to get some browns and picked up 7lb king and a brown about the size of the spoon we got him on.got the king on a alwife spoon on the bottom.did have nice marks on the screen in 124 ft and also some in at 80.

    just putting this out there,i will be selling my 1988 glasstron sea fury come fall,21 foot with a 200 yamaha,boat cruises nicely at 30-35 mph.this will be a turn key package ready to fish.it will include mid 80's 8 hp johnson kicker,trolls all day on 3 gals. of gas.2 cannon uni-troll down riggers,6 rod holders,vhf radio,lowrance fish finder and gps,fish hawk 840 down temp,am/fm stereo with cd player.and trailer.i will also have some rods and reels and tackle to throw in.boat has full soft top enclosure.boat is in pretty good shape for its age,handles rough water.boat is in a slip in sandy pond and can be demo'd any weekend from now on.dont have any pics.if you know how to use a computer,google it for pics. to get an idea,if you are serious,come see it in the water or fishing in mexico bay.if you need more info call 315-369-5241.if you buy the boat this fall,i will store it and deliver on lake o in spring.$6,000 firm.jason

    i bought some swivels that have the holder so they dont free slide,20 feet apart with an 8 foot leader enough seperation?

    i figured there would be alot of drag on the line,i have read that on a free slider you are about half way to the ball,so there should be plenty of seperation,the reason why i want to try this is i only have two riggers,so if i can slide one that would give me more baits in the water.

    was wondering if you can use flasher/fly on a slider and if you cant can you use a f/f on the ball and a spoon on the slider,thanks in advance.
