  1. i have an 8 horse johnson and thats what figured,but i thought maybe someone has come up with something that might work.guess ill have to look for a four stroke this winter.

  3. fished the north dune,120-130.picked up one laker and lost two,slid into 80 ft to try to get some browns and picked up 7lb king and a brown about the size of the spoon we got him on.got the king on a alwife spoon on the bottom.did have nice marks on the screen in 124 ft and also some in at 80.

  5. just putting this out there,i will be selling my 1988 glasstron sea fury come fall,21 foot with a 200 yamaha,boat cruises nicely at 30-35 mph.this will be a turn key package ready to fish.it will include mid 80's 8 hp johnson kicker,trolls all day on 3 gals. of gas.2 cannon uni-troll down riggers,6 rod holders,vhf radio,lowrance fish finder and gps,fish hawk 840 down temp,am/fm stereo with cd player.and trailer.i will also have some rods and reels and tackle to throw in.boat has full soft top enclosure.boat is in pretty good shape for its age,handles rough water.boat is in a slip in sandy pond and can be demo'd any weekend from now on.dont have any pics.if you know how to use a computer,google it for pics. to get an idea,if you are serious,come see it in the water or fishing in mexico bay.if you need more info call 315-369-5241.if you buy the boat this fall,i will store it and deliver on lake o in spring.$6,000 firm.jason
  6. i bought some swivels that have the holder so they dont free slide,20 feet apart with an 8 foot leader enough seperation?
  7. i figured there would be alot of drag on the line,i have read that on a free slider you are about half way to the ball,so there should be plenty of seperation,the reason why i want to try this is i only have two riggers,so if i can slide one that would give me more baits in the water.
  8. was wondering if you can use flasher/fly on a slider and if you cant can you use a f/f on the ball and a spoon on the slider,thanks in advance.

  13. im heading up tom.cant wait any longer.going out of mexico point.im a newb and have learned alot from this web site.want to shake the boat down before my stiper trip to the hudson.lakes up here in old forge still have 14 inches on them.snowing here now,hope i can get out in the morning!!!this site is the best!!!!
  14. if you are talking about sandy pond,i was there last saturday looking at marinas and the pond was frozen all the way out to lake o.the launch at port ontario was open and so was mexico point.

  16. i have read a couple of posts recommending the use of 200# power pro.i cant find anyone who sells it.the heaviest i have found is 150#.also,what type of line to use.any help would be great.thanks in advance.
  17. looking for some advice on matching flashers and flys.do you want to have the same color fly to match the color of the flasher?or is there no rime nor reason?im new to this and have learned alot from this website.you guys are awesome!!thanks in advance
