  1. Bump one time before going to eBay. I'll take $3.00 the prices above to get these sold.
  2. And just read on Garmin's website that the 50DV is NMEA 0183. I guess the search continues.
  3. So I currently have a Humminbird 597 without down imaging. I just got an Raymarine EV200 autopilot and its runs NMEA 2000 and my current Humminbird doesnt - would require extra cables and a $200 translator. I was taking a look at the Garmin 50dv - do you think it is a good one to go with for Great Lakes fishing? I could sell my humming bird and use the cash towards the Garmin and I'd be almost at the same prices as trying to convert the NMEA signal on my Humminbird.
  4. Wouldn't it still make sense to add it so the autopilot knows how far is turning the outdrive?
  5. So I got mine in the mail today. Are you supposed to hook up the rudder reference to the ram on the steering rack somehow?
  6. Same here - ev200 shipping notice. Anchor must have sold a couple hundred of those things this spring - just look at how many people from this forum purchased one.
  7. So no need to upgrade then. Probably wouldnt hurt to change the cap/rotor, plugs, and wires this spring. I thought being an 89 it would of been the old style, so I was surprised when I saw the thunderbolt cap when I looked at it today.
  8. I listed these on eBay to get some more exposure. Usually I just sell direct but I needed to get rid of these as fast as I can to replenish my fishing fund. Just for you guys on the forum here - if you win 2 or more lots, I will cover the shipping costs. The current deal I have on ebay is free shipping on 3 or more lots. If you do purchase 2 more more lots, just send me a message after the auction ends on Sunday and I will adjust the shipping costs. Listed below are all of the links to the auction as well as the current price as of Thursday night. Purchase with confidence - I have an 8000+ positive comment rating on eBay and over 25 transactions here on this forum. 10. Now Im confused if mine is actually a points distributor or not. Its a 89 5.7L 350 - think its a chevy. It looks like it has a Thunderbolt IV on it. So is that a points distributor or is it already considered an electronic ignition and the Petronix wouldnt apply?
  11. Anyone ever convert a mercruiser from points to electronic ignition? SInce its supposed to idle better, I thought it might be beneficial since we troll for hours on end at basically idle speed. Any thoughts?
  12. I use mag wheel polish and a mr clean magic eraser. After that just scrub them with some dish soap to clean the polish off. Works awesome on vintage painted spoons as well.
  13. What version of sport pilot? I know the new EVO ones are NMEA2000 and I think most HBs are NMEA0183
  14. Would also like to know. I previously ran a depth raider and I think there is a slight difference in speeds between the 2. Usually I ran 1.9 to 2.2 on the depth raider. Really what you should do is try to keep it around 2.2 to 2.4 on a Fishhawk and then record if you are catching fish at a higher or lower speed. You can also do S curves and if they hit on the rods on the inside of the curve its a sign you are going too fast. If they always hit on the outside rods of the curve, then you need to speed up a bit.
  15. Just got the letter from the Milwaukee marina (Lake Michigan) that there will be no boats launched until at least May 1st due to all of the marina/dock damage and that fact that there is 2 feet of ice yet. Our usual splashdown is April 15th. Went down there and there are docks heaved and almost a 1/3 of the plylons between the slips are bent at a 45 degree angle or more. Im not sure how they are even going to fix those. Man this winter really sucks....
  16. Ordered mine from anchor express. They say it's back ordered until April 9th but I think most places show it as back ordered right now.
  17. So I got another massive collection of spoons recently. I kinda got burnt a bit on the description and quality of the spoons, so after spending hours cleaning everything Im going to be selling off most of them. It was one of those deals where the seller said they had 500 spoons and only took pictures of the 50 good ones. In order to try to get some of my money back out, I'm going to sell most of them - but I need to know what a few are that I couldnt ID. If you can help me ID these in the pictures below, it would be a ton of help. Here is a part of the collection minus a few mags I already sold and around 50 pro kings I already have set aside. Notice the huge pile on the bottom left - those are the spoons that even after cleaning are in that great of condition. Spoon ID needed on this one - they kinda look like NorthPort but have a slightly different blank. I think these are NorthPort but not sure since they are unmarked. These ones I have no idea. They have a reverse V in them - all I know is I have a ton of them. The last one is a scalloped blank - have no idea what they are.
  18. Nice spoons. I bought a few from you over the winter and the quailty is top notch - way better than the huge companies. I need more spoons like I need a hole in the head - but also wondering if you are going to throw together a 2014 6 pack.
  19. Bought another collection of spoons from a charter captain. I picked out all of the Pro King spoons. Just a couple questions. Is the spoons on the bottom left and the ones on the bottom right Pro Kings? They seem to have the same blank and they have the same holographic back as some of the newer pro kings. Just about all of the rest have the highly polished back and are stamped Pro King. Some of the most reflective spoons I've seen. Is there a special plating on the back? At some point did Pro King switch from a polished back to the foil/holo sticker back?
  20. Yeah when pulling big divers on wire in the waves, you kinda need to crank everything down. I even broke a trebble and also bent a trebble last year on massive hits. Just a nature of the beast.
