  1. Spending winter months preparing for spring here going thru equipment. Many spoons need new hooks , what size and brand would you guys recommend ? Had some where hook tips broke off clean on salmon hook ups.
  2. Long three months before I even think of opening my present
  3. I have the same problem sk8!!!
  4. Check those stringers before engine goes back in. Now time to repair if they bad or showing signs of being punky.
  5. Use some acetone on a rag!!!..... No just kidding.
  6. I got same radio with an 8' antenna. Gives you greater distance.
  7. Nice fish. I would say 28-29 lbs, but like others say pics can be deceiving.
  8. I use a trolling plate on my rig. Gets it down to 1.6 mph.
  9. I got Bert's track system on my boat. Works great and allows me to move riggers and rod holders any way I want. Pricey to start but worth it in the long run.
  10. Buy a riviera. They have mount for seat bases you can install
  11. I'm with Tim , keep them. You never have enough spoons or any other lures for that matter
  12. I'd hang onto them. They produced some fish for me last year. They're not the "in" lure but still produce.
  13. The video for work sharp shows them sharpening mower blades. A brush hog blade would be better done with a 4 in. grinder with an appropriate wheel. That's a heavy and thick piece of metal. IMO, more than the small motor on work sharp can handle.
  14. Nautitroll. Work sharp works like a dream. Bought bothy brothers one forChristmas
  15. I have an elite 5 3years old not DSI. Unit works great for lake o. Just upgraded to elite 7. Never had any problems with lowramce products
  16. Bucket mouth your fellow sportsman here on LOU are sticking with you, they just trying to politely tell you it's time to raise your bar. You obviously know how to kill a deer at this point in your life.
  17. Trim tabs would definitely help when running at higher speeds
  18. Trim tabs will definitely add to the performance of your boat. Just have to do the research of which system is best for you and the boat your run.
  19. Your absolutely right Burrows, but there are closed seasons for a reason. That is normally so fish can spawn in their environment so humans don't have to do it artificially. I probably used more big words than you can absorb in this post so I'll stop here.
  20. I'd second that I don't believe there is any one particular lure that takes a majority of fish
  21. Most important issue to me here is that the deer legally harvested don't go to waste. I know plenty of "ethical" hunters who love the horns but won't eat the meat. A trophy means something different to all of us. Me personally I wouldn't post a kill with arrows still in it but I wasn't offended by it but I can understand how someone might be
  22. A quality blade will hold an edge longer with out doubt. Putting an edge on any knife takes some doing. Used Lansky knife sharpeners for years with excellent results, but they can't beat the Work Shop for speed or ease of use
  23. As far as knife sharpening goes, invest in a Work Sharp knife sharpener. It put a edge on the cheapest of blades and are fast and easy to use. Check them out at Cabelas
