It's the way I see it but it will only hurt us if we don't fill our doe tags at some point. Next step is early muzzleloader doe only OCT 1st I suggest everyone fill and call in your doe tags I've even heard whispers about guys calling in the doe tags regardless if they are filled or not...I don't agree or disagree with this tactic. To me it's a moot point because I always harvest my share of doe I also firmly believe that the deer population is very healthy and doesn't need this holocaust the DEC is trying to facilitate

.25-06 or 6.5 Creedmoor Thoughts? Pros / Cons
dvdegeorge replied to DJ 17's topic in Big / Small Game
Many things can tighten up groups, different powder, amount of powder, seating length ect Start with one thing at a time, don't do more than one change at once . For seating depth I like to kiss the lands but magazine constraints may prohibit you from doing that. If you start at the start (the lands) you only have one direction to go if you need to adjust. 1" is the best I get with the 120gr TTSX,I've better groups with R15 and Varget the 120gr Nosler ballistic tips will give you best groups 9 out of 10 times but how much better than 1" do you need in a hunting rifle? -

.25-06 or 6.5 Creedmoor Thoughts? Pros / Cons

There isn't much on this continent besides grizzly I wouldn't feel confident shooting with the 120 gr TTSX -
Another disappointing morning with no deer sighted from my stand, bumped one near stand coming in picture verified it was a single lone doe.Thought it would be better as it was cold and even a few flurries in the air. No fret as it's still early on the game and unfortunately due to wind direction I've been limited to this one set. Deer are moving well at night have pictures of 5 different buck from last night mostly small guys but a decent buck showed up I hadn't seen yet Back at it this afternoon

Nice 1st morning. Had a button buck feed right past me,then a little bit later a mature doe.She parked right in front of me broadside at 12 yds for 20 minutes. She was acting squirrelly.I knew she couldn't wind or see me. Sure enough she starts to move off and an 8 pt comes right down the trail lightly grunting and starts to chase her. They got behind me and another doe was there also.He got the point nobody was interested in his advances and moved off. Could have killed all except the doe behind me. The buck as he passed by going after the doe

I've been shooting every day a few arrows My buddy hunted in SE Ohio yesterday afternoon on a fresh cut bean field. He had a 130" 10 pt grunting and chasing doe and then a huge buck he thinks was a 12 pt bashing a large tree on the field edge and then he ran off the 10 pt buck and started dogging the doe. He had him at 50 yds just too far for an ethical shot Things should start getting jiggly with this colder weather Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I'll beg to differ weaver sucks. Talley low's are the way to go Why use the rail if you want to keep the scope low? these will get you what you are trying to achieve http://www.talleymanufacturing.com/Products/Lightweight-Alloy-Scope-Mount/Tikka/1-Tikka-T3-and-Tikka-Master-(Low).aspx Weaver are not my favorite and weigh a ton -
