ok guys im going to give in and buy one x4 or x4D is it worth the extra for the depth when your rigger is going to tell you close enough as to how deep you really are ? Is it not the change in temp which is most important ??? Lets get your input guys .

Im not a pro by any means but I run 3-4 lines per side and the release slides down your planer line to the desired spread when you get a fish just slide the others down in to take its place . I try to have the longer leads closer to the board and taper in. I do use rod trees myself but its what you prefer I would guess. I am sure that there will be some info posted by some guys who live on the lake they are a wealth of information.

when I fished stripers on Marthas Vineyard we used to use a solid stainless wire I have some of that on some old Penns I may bring that along to try it it seemed easy to work with but is was years ago I used it.

I di have great lakes rod trees mounted solid with a plate on the back side. Im using 10 and 10-6 rods made for dipsys talora rods i have not changed the tips yet. Now i will be lookinginto copper for the summer. Man getting rigged up for the Big O can get costly 8 rods for boards spring, 4 for riggers. 2 with lead, 4 for dipsys and now more for copper. I feel i am single handiedly stimulating the economy here.

I just got 4 dispy rods lined with 19 strand torpedo wire first time using the stuff for me. I can see already tha this stuff is going to be fun to work with.

Captain, we are going to Fairhaven from the 19th to 29th of April if there is ice still on the pond would not the state park launch be open the way that wind blows?

We are going from 4/19 to 4/29 to Fairhaven and have gone that week for about 15 years it seems to be good because the weather is getting better less blow off days and we have always got plenty of Browns with some Coho , Steelies, and a King or 2. Marys Little Sodus Inn is a great place to stay.

Has anyone tried the wigglefin action disc ? it looks like it improves fly action.

Hey Guys yet another NH angler I used to spend a lot of time on the big O then when to the ocean, but I am back plan to spend 6 weeks or so back on the big lake a year first trip for 2014 will be Fairhaven April 19th -29th for Browns Hope to see you guys out there
