  1. Looking for a pair of Big Jon Downrigger booms. If you have some you can part with PM with what you have and price. Thanks!
  2. Looking to add some rod trees to my boat. Just wanted to see if someone had some used one's hanging around that they would like to sell. Thanks, mrwalleye
  3. What Kind of outdrive dose it have? Mercrusier or OMC? Thanks!
  4. Any pic's of the inside? Thanks.
  5. If it's still available, let me know. Thanks, Mrwalleye
  6. The person that reels in the fish gets to take claim on it. If your worried about getting to lay claim on some fish them take turns reeling them in. That's the way I always do it. I never take first fish, guest always get first fish. I would hate to see you run a charter business, you would have a lot of unhappy clients when you tell them that you're keeping their fish of a lifetime because you "caught it" and want to get it mounted and need a skin mount.
  7. I have a few and use them when just getting a line out on each side because they are easier, but when running 3-4 lines per side I run the mast and otterboats. I see that they use them for kings in Lake Michigan. That must be a great fight while the boars is still in the water. I have caught a lot of fish on the walleye boards and the TX-22. I did like the TX-22's better because they stay upright when boat is not moving.
  8. Thanks for the updates. Were heading there April 24-27. Looks like it should be clear by then with the warmer weather. I think it supposed to be above freezing most nights now.
  9. Sounds like you had a great shakedown! Glad to hear people getting out. Do you like running the in-line boards better then planner boards?
  10. Also don't forget that you have to have a space between letters and numbers. Like NY XXXX GM. They will give tickets for not spacing.
  11. What were you seeing for water temp? Glad to hear that the fish are willing to bite.
  12. Thanks for the post. Glad to hear that people are able to start getting out. I hope this weather make it all the lake fishable soon.
  13. Thanks for all the great reply's. It sounds like if we know what your doing that 12 rods is an option for us.
  14. I think that were leaning towards the 2nd weekend in April. Bring on the warm weather!!
  15. Thanks for the great responses. It's good to know that its possible to run 12 rods if we want to or if it's slow enough and were searching for the right spot or lure. It seems if the fish are active that a 8 rod spread is the way to go.
  16. I assume that you talking about the Otter Boats? I run mine with just the one keel. Any reel should be fine. They pull really easy from my experience. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
  17. We are planning a 4 day brown trout trip for April. Our plan is to fish the 1st weekend in April, but I was just wondering if with all this cold weather if there will be any chance that there will still be ice in the harbors to prevent us from fishing? I know that a lot has to do with the weather between now and then, but we have to try to plan for time off and lodging. How early are you guy's usually fishing? Also would fair haven or oswego be a better starting point? Thanks in Advanced.
  18. I agree it sounds like a lot of work. I thought it would be nice to get a lot of rods out at first to get them dialed in. Figure out what colors and type of bait they want. It must be a pain in the a$$ to turn with a 12 rod spread.
  19. I was just wondering how many rods everyone runs in their spring browns spreads? We will be heading over in April with 4 of us. Do you guy ever really run 12 rods for a 4 man crew. Even with planner boards it seems like it could get messy. Do you normally run 2 or 4 riggers in the spread? Thanks in advanced.
  20. Surely, some nice smallmouths. Great Job!
