  6. You can find them online. This was after a little search. http://store.scottsbt.com/133-600-DSP-S11001-Base-Plate-and-Nut-ONLY-P9520.aspx Don't know if another website or eBay will have em cheaper.
  7. My family had a zipper and shoe repair, custom leather store in Cuse. We know a guy, Pat Reap, out of Syracuse that does marine canvas and upholstery. He makes his way to Sackets to work on boats. He was suppose to meet up with me there to have a look at my canvas and clear side panels, but family issues arose and we missed each other. I can get his contact info when I speak to my mom.

  10. What are you using for leader material? And did you get away from them for a certain reason or just never used them?
  11. Great tips for getting your reel set up by all. As far as setting up to run your dipsy... Attach your dipsy to the wire and on the business end, use a snubber on the dipsy to attach your leader to. This will allow for a little stretch during a strike. *Make sure the length of your leader to lure, fly, etc (hook) is no longer than your rod* (So 10 ft). When you bring in a fish the dipsy will stop at the rod tip. In order to net the fish you can back up and raise your rod.
  12. I have a pair of 625s. Love em. X2 on what henrybud said. Smooth cranks, easy to work the drag. IMO that's a great price from henrybud for 2 with swivel bases. You can PM me for any other details or questions on using them.
  13. Stickers, stickers, get your stickers!!!
  14. Dick's rod and reel repair, new paltz, NY 845-255-5874. 40 years experience. Real good guy. Just fixed a reel for me. Showed me a custom steelhead fly rod he had just completed, real nice work.
  15. Got another for ya... Are these for dragging on a drift? Seems like they'll drag upright along with minimal snags because of the cylinder shape.
  16. Awesome guys, thanks! There's about a dozen... So I'll be throwing them in April and the fall I guess!
  17. Split shot in braided nylon. I cut one open to make sure. I picked up an old tackle box and found these in a bag. Each weighs 1oz. A couple had line tied to one end. Any application besides a normal sinker? I'm thinking so it doesn't snag.
