Wrapped up our annual ice fishing trip yesterday. It was a challenging year this year.... weather, ice conditions, accommodations, schedule issues, blizzards, illness......you name it.... we dealt with it. Seems like the fishing gods were against us from the start. Still, we persevered and enjoyed a wonderful time with family and friends! Even managed to chase down some fish. Tupper lake area always seems to report first fishable ice. Some of the honey hole first ice spots are good now in the north country.....this cold snap will put some ice down quickly... to sk8’s point, going to need an extended stretch before the good stuff is here.
