  1. Agree with the Cannon 10 STX, mine are only 2 years old and are rated for max 20 lbs. Like egoody says they are fast and do bounce quite a bit when they stop at the surface. Other than that minor complaint I am completely satisfied with them.
  2. Mine are mounted about 6 inches from the rear of the tracks. Definitely use the tracks for everything, they are already reinforced underneath, and make removing and adding equipment easy. My cannon riggers came with the swivel bases attached and I mounted them on 4" pedestal bases like these. http://store.cannondownriggers.com/products/325078/Aluminum_Fixed_Base_Downrigger_Pedestal
  3. Any long shaft kicker will work fine. I agree with the swivel bases for riggers. I have 2 cannon mag 10 ST on mine that I run at a 45 degree angle near the back of the boat. I do not usually extend my booms and I figure they are about 24" long collapsed.
  4. 750 ft of 19 strand and 200 ft of steel is what I have on mine and it is filled perfectly. I hand measured this in the yard so I would know exactly how much I had on it.
  5. Marina is called Holiday Harbor at Chadwick Bay, 30 Lakeshore Drive East, dunkkrk,NY 14048. The launch and harbor are in Chadwick Bay in Dunkirk. the Clarion Hotel is a stone's throw away from launch.
  6. I mounted a spring clamp onto a wooden base I made for the fish finder. I then attached the transducer to the end of a 1"x1" piece of aluminum square stock about 20" long. I then just put the transducer down the edge of the hole and clamp it at the desired depth. I can adjust it up or down as the ice thickness changes. Works great and didn't cost more than 10 bucks total and I got to use a spare fish finder I had.
  7. One thing no one mentioned so so far is so far is the micro leadcore lines (tufline or bloodrun). You can use them and have a lot more backing on the reel if you are concerned about that. You can easily fit 10 colors on an Okuma 30 size reel. Okuma makes high speed convectors also.
  8. SOLD SOLD SOLD I have 4 total Shimano TDR medium heavy rods for sale. 2 rods are 8' and 2 rods are 9'. 15.00 each. I could ship all four for 20.00 in a rod tube but would prefer to have them picked up. These are 2 years old and are in great shape. I am only selling them because I upgraded to Talora rods. 716-673-6614.
  9. I know that both my yamaha F200 and F9.9 self drain after winterizing. No need to worry about the thermostat in either of them.
  10. In my case it would be 1000 ft of 19 strand then 25' leader then dipsey. I'm kind of leery of the extra connections with the leader though.
  11. https://bloodruntackle.com/wire-line-spooling-tips/ Anyone else use this setup when using diver rods? I was getting ready to spool up my diver rods with Torpedo 19 strand and ran across this tip. It's seems to like this would take care of a few issues when using wire line.
  12. The exact same one shown in video above minus the spinning reel adapters. I think it's the line winder II. Was 349.00 plus shipping. It's a nice, high quality setup.
  13. I just received the line winder II yesterday and it works great. The line counter is very accurate, it was only off 3 inches at 100 feet which is good enough for me. No more pacing off line in the yard to calibrate my reels or to add backing to copper reels.
  14. FishUSA has all fishing line up to 20% off. I just picked up a few spools of Torpedo 19 strand for 35.99 each
  15. 2 Okuma Convector CV30 DLX line counter reels I have 2 convector reels for sale. These are LEFT HAND retrieve. They work fine and are in great shape. 45.00 each or 90.00 for both, will ship for free if you buy both. Call or text 716- 673-6614.
  16. Will give you 30 if you ship to 14063.
  17. Dunkirk' s docks are in year round. I'm not sure about barcelona.
  18. My cv45 reads 192 ft with the 200 ft of weighted steel out and 433 ft with an actual 200 ft of 19 strand out after the steel.
  19. All 4 reels are sold pending funds. I will know for sure tonight and will update thread as soon as possible. Thanks
  20. I did not replace the drags. From what I was told the 500's do not have sticky drags like the larger reels. I did not have any issues with them on the fish I caught this year.
  21. 4 Tekota 500 LC reels I have for sale 4 like new condition tekota 500 line counter reels. The reels were bought new this spring and are spooled with 40lb braid. I found a small scratch on one of the side plates and a couple very minor scuffs on the plastic line counter one 2 of them. I would rate these 9.5 out of 10 or better. 125.00 for each reel, free shipping if you buy 2 or all 4. Call or text 716-673-6614.
  22. https://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/fishing-hunting-outdoors/topic/15617-reel-fill-calculator/ You have to set up an account to be able to download it. I have found it to be very accurate.
  23. Will do. I was hoping to get out for walleye a couple more times in the next couple weeks so I will probably put them up for sale in a couple weeks. I have 6 total but will probably sell 4 of them. I bought them new this spring and are all in like new condition.
  24. I had looked at both previously a few months back and decided to go with 19 strand myself.
