  1. I did my old sea nymph with the rust oleum professional from a gallon can. Once applied it came out glossy and there is no need for a clear coat with this paint. I scuffed the hull with scothbrite green pads and then wiped it down with acetone on rag.
  2. I don't have clear ones, mine are green or black and I usually run 8 ft leaders behind them to the flasher/fly. I guess I could just run them with my normal leader but it would make netting a little bit of a hassle with my 9ft rods. Thanks.
  3. Can u run it with a 5 ft leader behind the dipsey then flasher then 5ft Twinkie rig? I think I could handle this without having to hand line the fish in. I don't know if the short leader will impede the action of spinny.
  4. Question: when running meat on divers, what length leaders do you use between the diver and flasher? Or do you just run the 5' twinkie rig attached to the dipsey itself and no flasher?
  5. I was there 2 weeks ago and did well trolling north from Deans Cove. We caught a few steelhead and atlantics near shore on spoons, also caught a bunch of lakers.
  6. I went with 200 ft of weighted steel with 19 strand for backing. Hoping to try it out this weekend.
  7. I moved the weight as far forward as possible on my OR12's and I pull anything from 3 to 10 color leadcore with no problems. I would not adjust the weight for each color of core.
  8. The standard Itroll without the add ons will do everything most people would need and is infinitely adjustable. Anyone looking for a throttle control should give them a serious look.
  9. What knot do you use to connect the 19 strand to steel?
  10. If you only had one copper rod Right now I'm fishing 2 riggers and up to four dipsey rods on my boat. I have an extra Convector CV45 reel and copper rod that I would like to set up. I only fish the west end of the lake near the bar and Wilson. I was thinking of making a 200 copper combo and I was leaning towards Torpedo weighted steel and wire backing. According to their video I could let out additional wire backing and achieve greater depth than just the 200 copper. So, what length of copper should I set up and what do I use for backing? Thanks in advance.
  11. I have a 9.9 Yamaha kicker on mine and have no issues with the tiller handle hitting the transom. I don't think that you need to have the kicker trimmed up all the way to keep it out of the water while running anyways. I would not add a bracket that is not needed on these boats.
  12. First time ever fishing for kings and we caught a two man limit. Biggest fish was 18 lbs. Straight out of the harbor in 75 to 95 ft. Caught 4 on riggers between 30 and 40 ft and 2 on dipseys set on 3, 110 back.
  13. We fished there yesterday and were able to launch with no issues. Others wore rubber knee boots to launch, we didn't need them and were able to hop in the boat from the dock without getting wet.
  14. Marine VHF hard mount Im looking for a hard mount VHF radio in good condition. Not interested in a portable radio. Thanks
  15. What motor are you putting on it?
  16. I just bought a 2016 Fishmaster 196 new last year powered by a Yamaha F200. I bought a new boat and motor so that I wouldn't have to worry about fixing things every week like my old boat. I have no complaints whatsoever. The aluminum on mine is not thin or flimsy at all. Send me a PM if you have any questions.
  17. There are stairs that you can cut down to the launch. I found them after I walked all the way around and down the first time I was there.
  18. Franks outdoors sells a pair of offshore boards with tattle flags for 80.00 I think. Cheapest place I found anywhere.
  19. Go to Youtube and search either offshore or church planer boards. There a few videos on how to use each of them. I prefer offshore boards myself. There are videos on offshore's website also.
  20. From what I was told a few months back, the green numbers are the older models. I just bought six new ones and they are all white.
  21. I have great lakes planers rod trees on my boat and they are nice. I bought them because I can easily remove the tree from the base with just a few turns of the knob. I have to remove the trees to get the boat in the garage. I have not had any issues at all with them.
  22. x3, the braid will slip on the spool if it is tied directly to it.
  23. payment sent, Thanks
  24. Got my flashers yesterday, exactly as described. Thanks
