  1. I run big boards and use rod trees, I couldn't imagine trying to get a rod out of the bottom rod holder with a dipsey and a king on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. My thoughts are with you and your family! My daughter was born at 29 weeks. She's 10 and perfect now. Listen to the doctors they know what they're talking about no matter how crazy it seems! If there's anything I can do feel free to PM me I've been in your shoes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 2 days after I got my driver license my best friend and I lied to my father and told him we were going to go to my friends camp on schroon lake fishing for the weekend. So Thursday afternoon we loaded up the boat a 1986 Starcraft 16ft and headed to Oswego. Friday morning at 4:30 we were launching the boat my buddy was with the boat when I parked the truck. Just got around the last dock when my buddy says " what the f*** my foots getting wet." I turned on a flash light and we had water up to the consoles. I knew enough to hammer the throttle and turn on the bilge. it finally got on plane and were able to get the plug put in from the inside. That next day we got into a school of koho's and were catching one as soon as we could get a lure back down. We were with a group of boats and the weather was changing fast, after a while all the other boats were gone and we were in big trouble. The storm was between us and shore and by the time I was smart enough to call it a day the waves were coming over the bow and the thunder storm was between us and shore. I ended up "running" off shore to try and get away from it and somehow I kept the boat from sinking. We both put on life jackets and at one point my buddy was under the passenger dash in the fetal position. "Something I still rag on him about to this day." That was my first solo trip to the big O about 2 weeks after my 16th birthday. We got home that Saturday night and We were still so scared that We told dad the truth, he wasn't even mad just glad we were OK. That's was over 15 years ago and I still remember that first trip like it was yesterday. I had been on the lake 100's of time with my old man before that weekend but that one was a big eye opener that I had a lot to learn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you're catching that many bass you have to get it deeper. We get a bass here and there but if you're catching them like that it's gotta go deeper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You would be amazed how many bites I get by hitting max throttle on my troll master every 2 or 3 minutes. If I mark a fish that doesn't hit I'll bump the botton a couple times and probably 1/3 of the time the fish will hit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Wait until you catch a smallie on that thumper rig in 100fow. Lake George is an interesting beast for sure. I fish it a ton and I haven't cracked the Nutt yet. Just when I think I have I get a big slice of humble pie! I think the smelt rule the lake and all the predator fish are on them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's tough to tell there is a dink on a copper but after you watch your boards for long enough you will learn what to check for. Just bring a buddy to have reel them in when you check them often. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I run wire divers every time I fish the lake after the water warms up. For what ever reason on lake George copper out fishes everything else on the boat day in and day out. I fish the lake 2 or 3 times a week and have only had 2 or 3 days when dipseys and riggers combined caught more fish than coppers. The problem is fighting a 5lb laker on a 3 or 400 copper sucks. 9. My suggestion would be 2 helix 7's you can get both for under your 1k$ budget. I don't like split screen because it makes them tough to see from the back of the boat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 200,250 coppers have been hot at 1.5-1.8. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Yea, for the salmon. Lakers on mags. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. My 200 copper has been on fire for salmon so far this year. I run a 3 color leadcore first thing as well but that dies the second the sun clears. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Beautiful rig! Im looking at a 20ft smoker craft phantom with a very similar hull what kind of performance do you get with the 115? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Navionics Boating, if it was 50$ a year I would still have it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. If stone doesn't want them I'll take em. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Tupper is tough! There is some big lakers and big walleyes and they are often together. Find 60-80fow with a relatively flat bottom so you can keep close to bottom with cow bells and flat fish/peanuts and you will catch lakers and walleye. Walleye aren't usually in "normal" walleye waters on tupper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Anyone have any guesses to a copper dive curve at 1.5mph with 45lb copper? While trolling for lakers on inland lakes I like running junk lines and have been doing well on them but have no idea how deep they are running. I know my 300 will hit bottom in 90fow at 1.5. But would love to know where a 150,200and 250's are running. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. What kind are the black rods and what's your location? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The IPad app is more expensive but it is awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
